  1. You can check the standard warranty cost on Lexus GB website. I think all dealers stick to the Lexus price, but its worth a look to make sure you are not paying over the odds
  2. ISF: 4 years and 10 months RCF: 5 years and 3 months. I plan to keep it for at least another 2 years as there is nothing else out there I would cgange it for
  3. Is that 2nd photo the car park of the Pen y Gwryd Hotel in Snowdonia? Great cycling roads, and not too shabby to drive if you time it right
  4. Welcome Shedman, There is a separate forum for the F cars (ISF, RCF, GSF). You may have more chance of a reply on there. I've not noticed a difference on mine. I'm almost afraid to look in case I can't unsee a tilt
  5. I like your drive Sam; very neatly laid
  6. I wonder what's happened to the other 9. Alien abduction? Written off? On display in personal art galleries? Or, worst of all, repainted a lesser colour?
  7. Ray; your post reminded me it was exactly 10 years ago today that I picked my Mesa Red IS-F from Wolverhampton. There can't be many of us with 10 years of continuous service from F cars? There were quite a few ex-demonstrator red ones for sale that autumn and I stalked them for several months until Wolverhampton brought the price down to an acceptable level. I'm hoping my old one will pop up on here one day.
  8. Never had this with my RCF. Sounds like a bit more experimentation is in order, then a trip to a dealer
  9. Admiral multi-car have been excellent and we saved quite a bit on 2 cars. We've now added a third and its dropped again
  10. Good job; you are the first one on here with that version Welcome
  11. Wait 6-12 months and buy an RCF? Easily does 33+ mpg on a long run
  12. £995 for 2 years of RCF warranty does not seem like premium to me. However getting an LC warranty at £2395 for 2 years does suggest reliability worries from Lexus
  13. Yes that's the one. Hopefully I can get a test drive in one soon. I had a good look around the new Supra, but it didn't do anything for me XFR is too big for my liking. However an XE Project 8 would be in my fantasy garage, next to an Impreza RB5 PPP
  14. I'm hoping that an ISF or RCF replacement comes along, even if I have to step down to a charged V6 engine. I'm not keen on the look of the GSF and the LC is much too big. The Giula QF is great on paper, and to fun drive. But running one for 5+ years would take more brave pills than I'd like to swallow I like small cars so maybe a Toyota Aygo GRMN (or whatever the mental one is called). Or a VW UP GTI, but with the badges replaced to make it into a Skoda Citigo VRs The Civic Type R and Hyundai i30N are on the short list. Like Nathan, having a popular badge are not as important as interesting engineering, and reliability I suspect I'll stick with my current RCF for another 2-3 years and see if anything comes along
  15. Maybe I'm too old for this forum???
  16. I can recommend The Who's Baba O'Riley as a great track to test the full effect. Volume 56 did the trick foe me Any other suggestions out there for epic music to showcase the system?
  17. I didn't know about that; thanks. I think I can learn to manage with a 3% drop in power; I don't use the full amount every day
  18. That rules out replacing my 2015 with a later model when I want to change. Roll on a new ISF
  19. That sounds like a good way to avoid all the tyre-kickers and timewasters. Which dealer was it?
  20. Lexus dealers regularly use their location name; e.g. Chester, Manchester, Stockport, Stoke, Manchester...to name the local ones.
  21. I've done 6 ferry trips, including Hull - Zeebrugge twice and had no problems with normal locking. It seems OK, even in choppy seas
  22. Be careful of dealer advice, At least one of them hard sells Supraguard, which in my experience is worthless, but generates a high commission for the salesman
  23. I think RCF prices are now following the ISF trajectory. For interest I check the trade in price for mine at the end of each month on Autotrader. In the last 12 months it has apparently appreciated by £800. Whilst it may not be an accurate price, at least any error should be consistent. I suspect GSFs are doing similar at about the 3 yr point
  24. With figures like that, there really is no good reason to buy the hybrid version
