    I can wholeheartedly recommend the Seasucker mini-bomber. I've used mine for 7.5 years and find it easy and secure. A friend uses one on the glass roof of his Tesla.

    Booked mine today. First available slot was 20 Apr. They said 2 hours for the work, but want it dropped off at 1000 for 1630-1700 pick up. Hopefully they'll give me a LC500 loaner to take up to North Wales for the day

    Yes, it was still accelerating. Not strongly, but I would have estimated another 10-15kph. I would guess that it was a true 168mph (270kph) or maybe 171mph (275kph). I recall one of the car magazines got a GPS measured 171 or 172 out of it It felt smooth at that speed. Living in Germany for 2 years back in the day gave me confidence that modern cars can sit comfortably at full chat. If you are near Stuttgart on a Sunday morning, you may find some hills to add a little extra speed,

    Lexus roadside assistance used to come with the extended warranty. Now they are doing the Relax system where the warranty comes with Servicing, you need to buy breakdown cover separately. The Lexus one includes a partner and gives me cover when I am a passenger, or driver, in any car. I think it is good value

    I use Black Circles, much cheaper and, through them, we found a great local garage that we now use for servicing all our other cars

    It took me a while to discover that there is something beyond what feels like the end of the throttle travel. Acceleration is great anyway, but if you go to the floor you get something I believe is called Wide Open Throttle and a kickdown to the lowest gear. It was certainly a WOT !!!!!! moment when I first tried it Only try it on a straight dry road

    Autobahn 4 between Aachen and Duren is quite new, well sighted and 3 lanes. That is where I discovered that the limiter kicks in at an indicated 287 kmh (178 mph). Despite multiple goes, I couldn't get it above that. The A4 is on the way to the Ring and merits an early morning blast, especially on Sunday when, if I recall, trucks are subject to restrictions. I know we were not allowed to move our Panzers around on Sunday back in the day.

    52000 miles in and I still have plenty of wear on only my second set of rears. The Michelins really do seem to last well

    I was leant an IS-F for two days when I was first thinking of buying one. I was coming from an Impreza STi with a turbo and manual 'box. On the first day I decided the gearbox was so poor that I would go and look elsewhere. Luckily I took it up to North Wales the next day and played with various settings and fell in love with the package. 12+ years later I'm still enjoying driving in manual / sport mode when the urge takes me and then eco / auto mode when I want to cruise

    The C63 saloon was a strong contender when I ended up buying my IS-F. Three things tipped the balance: 1) The running costs for the C63, especially warranty, were much higher. 2) Perceived reliability 3) Contrasting experience with Lexus and Mercedes dealerships here in the NW over the years. 4) Purchase price for comparable age and mileage cars Actually that is four things....

    I find the boot on the RCF to be plenty big enough, though to be fair it is mostly hitchhikers who go in there...

    I thought the back rest heating on my RCF wasn't working, but the dealer confirmed it was Ok. The seat part is nice and warm though, especially when wearing light running shorts

    I did the same taking off a wetsuit few years ago. After a few weeks in a splint it was fine, and now I can't remember (or tell) which finger it was. I hope yours heals fully too

    I love eco mode for motorways and when I just want a relaxing cruise. It makes a great contrast to the times I want to wake myself and the car up

    I'm half and half; eco mode is great for motorway cruising and an easy 32+ mpg, whilst I really love the performance when nobody is looking

    Thanks; I love the red and had it on my ISF too, except it was called Mesa Red in those days. ...or do you mean the bike? I had it painted in homage to Tom Walkinshaw's racing XJS

    Yes, I'm am very pleased how long they have lasted. The set even came with a spare suction cup, which I've not yet needed. If you get them, I'd suggest you clean the roof and the cups before each use, and wet the cups slightly. This should all be in the instructions.
