  1. Yes, please do add it to your stalker's database.
  2. Same car at Goodwood FoS in 2017. Driven by a nice chap who worked for Lexus
  3. 4 years and 10 months 32,500 miles £0 repairs Only faults were a wonky tracker and drained battery after 4 weeks parked up
  4. I saw a black one in Cheshire recently; Plate B14 ELF. It had a very wide blue stripe wrapped over the bonnet, roof and bumpers. It looked like a Team Sky cycle support vehicle but with a 1.2m stripe. Anyone else know about it?
  5. You could be right; rock up there on Friday 29th with a sack of cash and you could be in there
  6. Stuck handles eh...That would explain what happened when I sat in a red LC500 at Chester yesterday. It looked great in red, but the black interior was nowhere near as nice as the brown. The two black LCs looked dull in comparison. The have a white RCF with the TH15 RCF plate on it for less than £34,000. There are very few cars that suit white*, but the RCF seems to be one of them; it looked stunning * 911 (997) GT3, Opel Ascona 400, Integra Type R.......
  7. I have a service plan with Lexus Chester. Part of it is a 6 monthly health check where they report on stuff like brake and tyre wear and some other things I can't remember. Its a chance to have a nosey round their showroom as well.
  8. I have the 6 monthly health check next month, so I'll get them to look at it.
  9. I'm getting quite a few drivers flashing me when driving at night, which I interpret as a message that they think I'm on full beam when I'm on dip. I wonder if the auto-leveling is out, or if the lights are just bright. Any others getting flashed a lot?
  10. As the engine in the GS-F is pretty much the same as the RC-F, can you do the simple hack to make it louder below 3500rpm? There is a thread on the RC forum, but I don't know how to make a link. Below is the link to the internet version using Office Supplies. I used a pencil and masking tape and can confirm it makes a worthwhile difference. https://www.edmunds.com/lexus/rc-f/2015/long-term-road-test/2015-lexus-rc-f-making-it-louder-with-office-supplies.html
  11. I'm 6ft 4 inches and had no problem driving one. I don't think the roof was carbon though. The lumbar support felt as good as the RC-F and I've had no problems with that over 19000 miles
  12. Thanks BR. If mine was the pinched one in Manchester, it may well be the tracker that helped the Police recover it so quickly.
  13. Hi Big Rat; does your stalker's database tell you where my old Mesa Red one is now. BK10 NYX?
  14. Lexus Chester had this on their demonstrator in 2015
  15. Hi Marcus, I couldn't get a good impression of the M2 pace; it was a wet day so I was being extra careful with someone else's car. I would say Impreza STI levels of grunt as a best guess.
  16. I'm not a golfist, so used a sharpened pencil. It seems to work. And since the pencil was picked up at some conference centre, I've saved the 20p
  17. When considering a Giula QF last year I heard some horror stories about the after-sales and service department's attitude at various Alfa dealers in the North and Midlands. These stories were from owners of 146 and 156 GTAs and 3.2V6 159s, so they were decent petrolheads. It is a key reason why I'm not going down the Alfa route, despite the car itself being fantastic. In other news; I finally got to drive another short list option last week; a BMW M2 manual. It was great fun, compact and comfortable. But when I got back in the RC-F it reminded me how special it feels to be in the Lexus. I also have reliability fears with BMW
  18. PS.... Very Nice by the way
  19. I'd suggest that you keep the warranty topped up after 3 years, Lexus Chester had the Top Gear IS-F in a few years back and were replacing a "whole lot of bits" under warranty for the new owner
  20. I did 8 months of proper stalking before finding the right IS-F. It was worth the wait
  21. Yes very much this. The RC forum has also sorts of odd comments about hybrids and turbots
  22. I checked the boots when there were two parked side by side at Chester. The Hydrid's boot is significantly smaller than the one with the proper engine. In my view, the 500h would not be suitable for a week's touring with two people
  23. I can confirm that running over cars with tanks is a hoot. Its an odd colour scheme for a Chieftain though
  24. I used More Than for a about 6 years on IS-F and RC-F. They tried to up the premium each year, but a quick look on Confused.com and a phone call brought the premium down. They were very professional on the phone which gave me confidence. This year they took the p*ss and wanted to put it up by 48%. Then on Confused.com I saw a More Than quote about £100 cheaper than they had offered me for renewal. So I jumped ship I suppose all providers try and gouge existing customers, so just shop around
  25. There are several threads on the IS-F forum that relate to brakes. This issue is the same; crazy dealer prices. Eurocarparts seems to be a way to go
