I read the RCF review but managed to miss the Goodbye ISF page. Just read it now and it's a great article. I never knew that two Top Gear journalists had one either. Just shows how great they are.

For me personally....£79 a month is great for my peace of mind. I know they are supposed to be bullet proof cars but IF something went wrong we could be talking serious money.

I agree Jon...it does sound like it could be a mis-sold policy. Have you thought about contacting the media? I know that Auto Express have a weekly column where owners the have been messed about (usually by dealers) and it tends to get the issue sorted. I have never seen Lexus appear in there and seeing as they came top in their dealer satisfaction poll, don't think they would like the bad press. The only thing I bought from them was the Gap insurance. Going by what you said if anything did happen it might be a battle with them. I didn't know that Hedge End had another ISF on their books. I got mine from them in February and haven't noticed any others either there or on Autotrader. Must have missed it. Have you spoken to Gary there...he organises all those policies whenever my wife or I have bought a car from them. He's usually pretty helpful...the least they could do is refund you the policy money.

That's the Dealer's premium. Although it would have been cheaper to have bought it from the other dealer and taken out the 2 years warranty for £799. It still has 12 months manufacturers warranty left! Of course it does. Bloody dealers

Looks like it didn't meet the reserve so someone had a lucky escape. Unless they were happy to have a written off car.

Not sure about the price..thought it was that anyway but it looks as if someone has been reading this thread.

Next time I get mine filled up I must change the pressure to 40 all round. Currently on 36 and only hearing good things about increasing it. If I do want to drop back to 36 do I need to go back to the garage though or is there another way of decreasing it?

I like this bit I think it would be pretty easy to find a 2012 car that has only done 13.000 miles. Did they let the work experience type that up? And Chris' car was a 2013 wan't it? This states a 2012. I'm confused.

It will be three years warranty for £799 and the dealer told me that the warranty is transferrable via a private sale but if you trade the car in at Lexus within those three years the remaining warranty is lost. And welcome to the ISF club...you are going to have so much fun. Are you getting the red one?

I do like that rear diffuser....any idea what that one is? Would love one on my car but am guessing only US and would cost an arm and a leg to import. I think I've seen those on some the US cars. If it's the same one it's much bigger than ours.

In the description it states the car is a write off...doesn't say which category though. Rear spoiler is different as well as no ISF or Lexus badge. It's probably been rear ended and then repaired.
