  1. I still stand by that quote about more fun in the ISF. The RCF felt too nannying for me even with all the aids turned off..whereas the ISF would bite if you tried the same drive and I like that. Got to agree about the GSF it does look good and I will be itching to give that a test drive when the dealers get them. It was great to meet you Colin and we must do it again sometime..maybe you can show off the GSF at a meet.
  2. Agree about the ride...some roads around where I live make me think the suspension has given up. Once on a nice road though and it all makes sense. I'm going to give the RCF a test drive once the dealers have them just to compare the normal everyday handling. It seemed fine on a track but then so did the ISF.
  3. Some good points there but I didn't think the ISF piped any artificial noise into the cabin. I know the RCF does..as does the IS300h. I'm not a fan of artificial engine noise though, the first time I drove a 300 and put my put down the disconnect between what it sounded like and what I was experiencing was unsettling.
  4. So, this is my first proper winter in the F and have to keep reminding myself that having that much power to the back wheels can be fun and scary at the same time. Had a few wobbles over the last couple of days whilst going a bit fast around roundabouts but the car kept itself from getting into too much grief. I did notice tonight for the first time that the temperature display was flashing which was a new one to me but after Googling it, found out that it acts as a warning to tell the driver that it's nearly at freezing point out there and to be careful on the icy roads. Never noticed this before on my old IS but at least it isn't an annoying chime or beep. Also had a strange issue a couple of days ago where the car wouldn't start from the switch at first but after letting go and trying again it started and has been fine since. The battery level was above the midpoint so seeing as my 30k service is soon I may get them to have a look at that when it goes in. How long should an ISF's battery last? Mine will be 4 years in a couple of months and that shouldn't need changing should it?
  5. Always used V Power in mine. Would be rude not to.
  6. I had a text from Lexus about the official photos but when I logged in with my PIN there were no items to view. The site was here http://www.rcf-trackdays.com/ I can't remember the German rally drivers name though. Scratch that..found her Isolde Holderied
  7. It was a great trip out. I would argue that some may find the RCF sounded better as they artificially pump engine noise into the cabin. I'm not a fan of that after sampling it on the IS300H when I had one as a courtesy car. The RCF did drive well and the torque vectoring really came into it's own on the damp track. In the F it may have been a bit more tricky to take some of those corners. The highlight of the trip for me was the ISF drifting. I was giggling like a loon when he threw the car around. I'm not sure I will be getting an RCF anytime soon though...it didn't wow me as much as I thought it would. It's a great car with some fantastic toys but for now I'm more than happy with mine. Maybe when somebody else takes the hit on the depreciation it could be an option.
  8. Panic over...got my itinerary and all good to go. See everyone who's going on Friday.
  9. Not my dealership..I sent Scott my registration document last week. The dealership that offered me the place was Hedge End.
  10. Still no email...anyone else who has been told they are going still waiting. No reply from the dealer either so now I'm getting a bit twitchy.
  11. I have PM you :) Thanks Chris...no email here yet but hopefully will be here soon.
  12. Haven't heard anything after I sent off my registration form but it's always said I would be flying out of Farnborough. Has there been more information sent out then?
  13. Good price from a dealer...although Stuart won't be happy. He was hoping prices would hold up.
  14. Will have a look in the morning. Thanks for that.
  15. Agree about the 4 wheel drive..although in winter it may be useful. As for the clock I know what you mean, it's not the greatest but I really do not like analogue clocks in cars. A better digital one would do for me.
  16. Looks great....love the rear diffuser. Did you bring it back on the plane? Those alloys will be great once you get them over here.
