  1. Well said Keith..you big softie (I still look round when I walk away from mine. Especially when it's clean)
  2. For sheer grunt the GTR cannot be beaten but it's nowhere near as much a 'premium' car. I love the refinement of the ISF even if it can still be a monster.
  3. Welcome...I know what you mean about not stopping grinning. I've had mine for 6 months and it's still like the best toy ever.
  4. Just got in and shattered..although I don't know if it's the driving or the shopping this afternoon. Great to meet everyone and here is to the next meet. Chris....can I expect a return of the favour when you get your RCF? What colour did you go for?
  5. Wish you were here? We wish we weren't.... hopefully see you soon, sofasurfer, other half and small minion.
  6. That's a shame....very bittersweet. Although can you make sure you bring your RCF to a meet. Will want to have a good look at one. Now..I'm off to clean my car. See you later guys.
  7. Pretty clear at the moment...so any weekend is good for me.
  8. Stu...i have no problem putting a deposit down, As long as the date is right I will be there. Peter...I can Paypal your deposit when I do mine and we can sort it out on the day.
  9. Hi Eric, when I get back from Turkey tomorrow I will PM you some info. Its all really laid back on the meets though (although I have only been to one). Just good to meet other Lexus owners.
  10. I'm in. Seeing as I missed out on this week's meet up it would be good to see how my completely stock car fares.
  11. Thanks for that...must remember to use it in less salubrious areas from now on.
  12. Welcome to the forum.....any pics you can post to show off your new obsession?
  13. I'm in...will book the driver training as well if we do go.
  14. Got a call back from the salesman and he made a mistake. Hopefully not trying to squeeze another £200 out of me there but it's all good to go and I'm in. He did say that if I trade the car in I lose any remaining warranty but if I sell privately it can be transferred to the new owner. Seeing as they offer a pittance on ISF trade ins I may have to sell it privately if indeed I do sell within the next 3 years.
  15. So whilst the Service department told me the warranty was £799 and that I could extend it in December, the salesman who sold me the car emailed me earlier this week about the offer. When I inquired about the cost he has come back to me this morning saying it's £995. I'm confused now that some people have paid £200 less than I have now been quoted.
  16. So on GT tracks it's great, Bedford's Sen circuit was mighty but you'll struggle more on twisty stuff like Brands where the weight of the car and the short gearing counts against you. This is a little bit of my GoPro footage from a wet day at bedford in the IS-F http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glhNTnLIy4E Not happy with that...wanted to watch more of it It just makes me want to do a track meet even more now.
  17. Now that's a plan Dave....try to convince them I want a test drive in a Lotus.
  18. I do like the black...means business. If I didn't previously have a black IS250 then it would have been in the running for the choice of colour on mine. Lovely looking car.
  19. Got the ISF back and the tip has been fixed so it's no longer in danger of falling off. The air con service is pretty extreme though. The chemical smell is stronger than when I have had it done on previous cars. Hopefully the musty smell is no more but as all I can smell is the disinfectant it may take a couple of days to ensure that it has been sorted. They even knocked some money off as I'm a Gold member. Cannot argue with that. They did a health check on the car and it's all good apart from the fact my rears are down to 3.5 mm. I thought they felt less grippy so it looks as if they might need replacing in a few months and it's a bit of a shame that Lexus replaced the fronts when I bought the car as it would give me an excuse to try out some new rubber on all 4. It was nice to have the ISF back, I really miss it when I have to drive any other car. All in all, apart from the whole courtesy car issue I'm very pleased with Hedge End yet again. Great service.
  20. Never had a 450...the best I get is an IS300, the wife gets an RX when she has put her one in. Maybe they like tormenting me with the CTH. Would be safer for me in an RX as I'm used to driving one of those. The CTH on the other hand.....joining a motorway is always an experience.
