  1. Hello, I bought a new battery for my lexus is220d from an online retailer which was specified on their website for my car. When I fitted the battery, the car wouldn't start and the exterior lights were on. When I looked more closely at the battery the polarity of the pegs was the opposite way around on the new battery, positive where negative was on my old one. I phoned the supplier and they confirmed that their website had the wrong battery listed for my car and hence they had supplied me with the wrong battery. They are sending out the correct one for me to change out. However, I managed to turn the battery around to connect the terminals and see if the car started. The car did indeed start but there are a number of the electrics that are now not working i.e. radio, AC heater, power steering, powered seats/heated seats to name but a few. Obviously connecting the battery up wrong in the first place has caused something to blow and I was wondering if you guys had an idea or an electrical schematic for the lexus is220d
  2. Hello, My battery wasn't working too well, so I decided to buy a new one and fit it. The probllem being the battery I bought was physically the right size and the website I got it off had it listed as recommended for my car. However I fitted it and nothing worked but the exterior lights came on. It wasn't until later that I realised that the polarity of the terminals were the wrong way around on the new battery. A schoolboy error I know, for not checking polarity before I connected up battery. I called the supplier and they said that their website is wrong and it should have another battery that I had been sent but this does not cure the problem I have now. When I turned the battery around and connecting the terminals on the correct pegs. The engine starts but a lot of the electrics don't work i.e. seat positioning, radio, AC, door locks, power steering. Does anyone have a clue what it is that has broken down or an electrical schematic for the UK Lexus IS220 D??
