Hi guys, had a good time at JAE , got to me some new faces, nice to meet you AD77 at long last :D I think i got to meet most off the new guys that was there for the 1st time, and i have to say there was some very nice IS,s there this time round , it was all so good to meet some of the Euro guys as weel :D roll on the next big meet :D

How have i removed the cars class ;) for a moded IS i think i have just given it a bit more class, and not only that i have to think on a way to let all that heat from the TURBO!! out :winky: ← Its each to their own thats all im saying buddy. Hi guys , This is the vented bonnet i was working on for JAE!..................but as my car will not be done now! i can let you all see how its going :winky: its looking good...........nice big vents so it dont get to hot under the bonnet :D What do you think................. :D My vented bonnet

Ahhh..... thats the main reasons my IS is going The IS is rapidly overtaking the saxo to become the number one boy racer car round here I didn't buy it to look like "a pimp" My one and only attempt at adding a bit more power was a HKS hiper which added about 5 bhp and cost me £180 a year extra on my insurance I got a quote last week for a brand new subaru impreza wrx and it worked out £80 a year more than my 6 year old is200 with the modded exhaust (what a joke) ← maybe you should PX your IS for a saxo then...............if thats what think :winky:

well Matts car is an IS! yes and thats my point,,,,,,,,,,,,you named some B*W,s that would make us move over, but there you are talking about cars that cost 3 to 4 more than the IS..................and my point is that you could buy an IS and do what matts done............and yes i know there are alot faster/quicker cars out there but at the end of the day it all come down to how much cash you got :winky: I did not go out and get a Lex, to mod it ;) i got the Lex as i love the looks of the car and what you get for the Price, Moding was the last thing i was thinking of when i got the car..................

With a M3/740/750/840/850 up your behind you will move over. ← maybe so but look at the price of the B*W,s you are talking about you could buy an IS and do what Matt,s done then who will be moveing over

I love the IS looks thats why i got one, i did not get it for its performance............but as time has gone on i wantted a bit more from my lex, as i did not want to sell it! as there is no car out there with the looks of the IS, so i put a Turbo on it..................you should see the faces of the guys in all the 325,330 and so its just so much fun now :P :winky:

From reading that ....... you don't seem like a very happy IS owner. Why did you buy an IS then ? ......... or even still - why do you still own one ? :duh: ← I bought an new IS 2 yrs ago and was taken in by the high spec and overall quality of the car. With time I became v unhappy with the performance side of the car and fed up of having to thrash the engine for any kind of performance. Don't get me wrong, the IS is an excellent all round package but the performance side of things is lacking. I sold about 2 mths back and bought a 330d which has no issues re performance. ← you got a 330d and thats a spots car is it you would of been better keeping the IS and puting a Turbo on it, like me.....................and i have to say, now i have the turbo the only B*W that gets away from is the M3 out of all the 3?? :P :winky:

:D well i got me new wheels...............i went for the "Matrix Shadows" on Ebay :winky: got them for £600 in the end..............not abad price for a set of 18" 7.5j and they are all booted up as well with 225/35/ and i have talked to the guy about them and he told me they are like new so im well happy..............................
