................my car is running ok now but still have not had it maped as there will be no need soon so when me IS hits .5/6 bar the car starts to hold back as it needs more fuel but should be ok for sunday :winky:

what can i say, it was my 1st Jap-meet at the ACE cafe :D there was a good turn out on the night as we all now how COLD it was or has been the last 2-3 weeks so it was not a bad night........good to see you all guys :D see you all at the rolling road day :winky:

Noooo.....don't extend it mate..run it into the black pipe connector just before the throttle body instead. Make a small hole, push it through and then use a little silicon to seal any gaps! I asked this question ages ago...never received an answer so just went ahead and changed it (as mine was plugged into the induction kit pipe work originally). It's much better, as you then don't have the cable stretched so far and across all the hot engine bits. Plus over by the induction kit the sensor is reading pre compressor and pre intercooler air temps. Nice one though mate...go find some tunnels and scare everyone!! :D ← Never thought of that, i'll take a look next weekend ;) Thanks! Bit of a polava with the insurance though. They wouldnt cover for the supercharger, so I cancelled my policy with them. Just got a new one with directline, declaring the charger, exhaust and suspension, £646 for the year! ← nice one

i under stand what you are doing it for mike, and like you say there is not one you can buy off the shelf heat shield.........not that i know off anyway ;) so all in all you could well be on to something here :winky: This is why im doing this ventted bonnet, to let all that hot air out :winky: with the Turbo things get very hot in no time ;)

Thats all good mike..............but there must be a better way off keeping it cooler, yea what you have done keeps it cool but it dont look that good mate ;) do you have a pipe from the front off the car to give your filter COLD air, like dave & adie has on theres..........and not only that you say the temperature! is way up there when you are going slow but drops alot when you pick up speed, well lets face it you not going to be raceing around at slow speeds are you so as long as "temperature" drops when you pick up speed thats all that matters But like i said there must be a better way off keeping the intake air cooler than doing what you have done, could you not put a cover over the Fan to stop it from blowing Hot air to the intake :winky: But ha if you are happy with it mate then go with it :D :winky:

Its not so much vat, but its the TAX that kill you when you get them this side off the water ;)
