Hi guys been looking at geting a satnav, to help me in my job.........all my work is in and around london.
had a look on eBay and i have seen this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HP-iPAQ-2210-Pocket-...1QQcmdZViewItem
what do you guys think!
will this do the job ok, as i dont want to pay to much for one ...as it is just for work ;)
-
I could well pop over ............i dont know yet, as me car is abit sick! i will see what i can do ;) to fix it......
-
Peel the stickers, put the bonnet back down (vent it at the back if you need that much airflow), spray it to match the rest of the car, and you've got yourself a nice little "sleeper".
Anyone fancy feeding it to www.barryboys.co.uk? :P
Thats the website i was thinking off .................why feed it to barryboys, its been done by the LOC-Boys ;)
-
whats that web site where they take the ***** out off cars.............. ;) did not think i would see the day someone from LOC would go as low and do the same as that web-site
yea ok its a bit OT............. it all comes down to what the guy likes ...........not what me or any one else likes, as it is his car
I have seen some mods on some off LOC cars that i think are but i dont go round saying anything as its not my place, and i would not make a post about it ;)
the only thing i would take off is the big wing at the back, as i think they just dont look nice (look best on a 2 door car) ...........but thats me! if he likes it who am i to say it looks sh;t ..........
We all do our cars to the way we like them to be, not the way every one else would like it to be...........so think before you post! you could well be next :winky:
-
will be there again hopefully without the kids in tow this time doubt i will take the gs on the track though not until its competitive anyhow
like bazza has said its not a race.......................its a day out that will never forget... :D It was the best meet off last year, all so the time you get on the track is dam long, i think we all came away from there thinking "WOW" and we all had a big :D as the day was so good.......(like it says All day) not just 15 or 20 mins.
and this time round its going to be better as they are doing the 1/4 mile as well.....£15 for all day on the 1/4 mile, that is very very good.........as when some off us went to "santa pod" it was £12 for 3 runs..............so £15 for the day is just to good to miss :D
-
same as last year it come out just before Xmas ;) and like last year i will have to pay for this when Xmas is over and done with...................if all the places go they go!....................and if they do go, i will just do the 1/4 mile runs ;)
-
can not wait for this to come round, this was the best meet off last year................ and my car will be done as well 1/4 mile is going to be a big hit i think,

marcus deserves a lot of credit :D
by the way standard injectors are ok for up to 260bhp and 0.7 bar of boost :winky:

.........when we was at janspeed the guy who did the rolling road said the car started to hold back or lose power at .45 to .5 as the injectors were maxing out
all so on the print out we got i can see where it starts to lose power as well, my IS started to lose power at 4500 rpm ;) and i asked him why that was and he said he could feel the car holding back as the injectors were at max.........
more likely the pump and regulator are not feeding enough fuel to them
did not think of that bazza............well all thats geting upgraded at the same time as the rest :winky:

Yeah top job Marcus for having the bottle to do it yourself! :P
Thanks guys............... :D I just love playing with the IS
I know its not running 100%..............but by the time the 1st Jap/meet comes round next year it will be, with all upgrade forged internals, and not just the pistons & rods ...........BUT all moveing parts :winky: i will let you all know when it all starts
-
I would have to say turbo :D
I started thinking about fitting a Turbo to my IS last year........and i asked alot before i went and done it! ;)
I did not go out and get a Turbo kit for my IS, i made the Turbo Kit up! buy doing this i could pick the bits that i wanted for my turbo "ie" HKS BOV, JDM/wastegate, Greddy E-manage and so on.........
The only thing that was a bit over sized was the Turbo i picked, but i new this..........untill i get "forged internals" and lower compression ratio, then and only then will this Turbo be at its best, only time will tell.........this is all being done over the winter months :winky:
when i fitted my Turbo i had it on a rolling road 3 weeks later and at .4 boost i had 198 RWHP .............that was back may!.....but i have had some ups & downs with it as i have not had it maped.... ;)
But the meet i went to at janspeed, rolling road day! i was boosting .55 and i only got 152 RWHP so some thing is up some where.......all we know is the fueling needs to be upgrade as the injectors start to max out at .4/5 + i need to get it maped (yes i know it should be done)
I will be doing alot to the car over the comeing months, to try and get it all done for the 1st Jap/meet next year :D
so as to your Turbo is the only way to go

TDI sell them.
ive just ordered one for the altezza gearbox......annoyingly the is200 one curently fitted to the is200 gearbox, doesnt fit the altezza gearbox
Should fit matt .........as i got my B & M off Mr S..... and he has altezza :winky:
-
sorry to hear that mate
-
Looking good matt.............. :D some very nice bits to go on the car there, the FPR & pump is like the one i was looking at geting from the US
-
WOW mike this is going to fly when its all done mate.......... can not wait to see and hear it when its done :D
-
I'm still amazed ahmet decided to give it the big 'un and overtake us on a single carriageway.... with the SLOWEST CAR OF THE DAY!!! :P :P :P :P :P
You mean you still can't believe, that Ahmet managed to overtake you on a perfectly legal area of road ......... governed by the national speed limit .... in the slowest car of the day .......... therefore putting YOU to shame
no ....we all saw the state of your tyres and thought it safer if you were in front
-
As far as I'm aware, it's not a requirement on the TTE/IS200 install due to the lower power output
I also realise it's not a requirement, but did anyone ask how they did it?
no i dont think any one asked mate ;)
-
Hi guys, did not get off to a good start today............i said to ahmet to meet me at Thurrock service at 6am...........well what can i say he got lost :P :winky:
and as i was going to go with him i did not take the Add for Janspeed...............so i had to go all the way back home and get it so off i went......got what i needed and set off about 7.15am got to janspeed about 9.15am
good to meet some new faces and its all ways nice to see the old ones :D
bazza your car is going to very very fast when you have done playing with it mate :winky:
and to the guys with the Supras.........very nice guys :D me want
Had a good time today it was fun...........bit ***** as my car was still only running at about 80% 150bhp at the wheel...... 170 ft/lbs ;) think its time to get it maped and have some new bits put on.......
But all in all was a very good day :D
O yea big thanks to steve & Janspeed :winky:
-
bazza i think we will be comeing around the M25 from J1 to J12 we could meet you on the way if you like ..............@ahmet why am i meeting you at McD's off the A13 if we are comeing back to Dartford Brdige....you do know i have to come over the Brdige to meet you .......why dont i just meet you this side

Any mods to the stick engine are a potential no-no though the ali block wont take any substantial power increases.
Looks the business though :D
thats rubbish mate,
the bmw V8 is ally,as are all BMW engines now-a-days most of the big GM and chevy engines are now Ally, and heavily tuned
but heres a couple more..............
