  1. You're welcome Ryan. Glad that i could help and i hope everything will be sorted.
  2. Hi Ryan, Your car has VGRS ( Variable gear ratio steering) and by this means that your steering wheel is not actually connected to any steering box or shaft so it can be disconnected from the wheels for example with the toyota tech stream , the original toyota scanner and realign the steering wheel correctly by turn maximum left, maximum right , put it in the center and reconnect again to the wheels , all is done via the scanner . I suppose if you go to a lexus dealer they will be able to this for you . It is quite a simple procedure and it would not take more than 5 minutes. If you have any trip to Essex i can help you with it.
  3. Dylan you've left your window open at the Porsche .
  4. Hi Gareth, Have you considered swapping the wheels with someone's else lexus wheels and recode the sensors just to see if this will cure the problem ? Like i sad in some previous posts it is a shame that some Lexus dealers are treating customers with such high prices that will not even lead to a fixing for the problem.
  5. I have bought mine from the wheelbasealloys.com about one year ago and the color is Shadow Chrome
  6. Hi They will definitely fit bevause i have the same wheels on my Lexus and they are fine.
  7. Hi Mark, For parts i would suggest you to check the amayama website and for a good garage i would recommend westfield motors in essex rayleigh as they are independent toyota & lexus specialist and they also modify quite a few japanese cars.
  8. I have checked the voltage with the diagnostic tool and the lowest one was 16.61V and highest 16.76V. To check the module with a multimeter you have to take the whole battery pack out and open it. About the symptoms, no it wasn't anything before, only after the first error code the car was not holding the charge as much as before and i could not feel the power as i used to know it. I have paid £800 for the repair and it took 1 week to be done.
  9. The website is the same like his company name, just type in on google hybrid battery solution UK. As far as I know he definitely replaced a cell and reconditioned all the modules plus the 12v battery. I suppose he also cleaned the connectors but I am not sure.
  10. Hi all, I have started this topic trying to help anyone who has a problem with the hybrid battery on a lexus gs450h . About a month ago i was stuck in traffic and the check hybrid system came up on but the car was still drivable and only a bit more lazy on acceleration . After i arrived at home i plugged the scanner and it came with the error code P0A7F - Hybrid Battery Pack Deterioration and check VSC message. I have cleared the code and looked at the battery modules voltage but they were all looking fine so i assumed it was just a one off. The car was fine but after one week same thing happened again and meanwhile the car was feeling a bit different anyway, the only difference this time it was the error code P0A80 - Replace Hybrid Battery Pack. Unfortunately my car has done 124k miles and also the last service was done with an independent specialist so i had no warranty. I kept researched on-line and i found someone in Northampton that recondition and repair hybrid batteries for Honda & Toyota. Meanwhile i have also discussed with someone from London and he said he will fix my car in 4 hours but he never done one before. I decided to use the guy in Northampton who's name is Richard, a very nice guy and helpful. He said he will need the car between 5 and 7 days and will give 10k miles warranty or one year , whatever comes first . Dropped the car on on Tuesday because it was still drivable just without abs, vsc and cruise control and picked it up this Wednesday . The car feels great now and also the fuels consumption is with a few mpg's better. The guy also has a website but i am not sure if i am allowed to post it here so i will leave his phone number is someone is interested. Richard Hybrid battery solutions - 01604404644 .
  11. You can also check on the amayama website.
  12. Hi all, I just had my 120k miles service done on my Lexus Gs450H recently by a garage called Westfield Motors in Rayleigh, Essex. I found them very professional and reasonable on prices. Nice, clean garage with good mechanics that know their stuff about Toyota and Lexus . I have paid £469.32 for engine oil + filter, gearbox oil, differential oil, brake fluid, spark plugs and labour. i have changed myself the cabin/pollen filter because it is very easy and for the air filter i have a K&N so that was fine for now. I have also attached the quote from them. I know that is difficult to find a good garage or decent mechanics so that's why i like to share the good experiences and make others aware about that because it might be handy for someone.
  13. Hi Phil, Sorry to hear that the Cataclean didn't worked. I have used 2 bottles on half a tank with a vauxhall astra and went o a bit longer journey with the revs a bit higher and it worked. I am curious if the emission values have changed a bit from the Cataclean or they stayed the same. Also have you noticed any economy or performance drop since you have the issue with the catalysts?
  14. Mine is the same. I always have to rotate it a bit to the left and it's fine.
  15. This sensor can also get water inside and get corroded, but it is quite simple to sort it out. Just take the sensor out , unscrew all 4 screws and check if any of the 3 springs acre corroded. If they are , just replace them with something similar, clean the corroded part and that's it, job done. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://my.is/forums/attachments/f89/22707d1242594435-front-height-control-sensor-disassembled-assy.jpg&imgrefurl=http://my.is/forums/f89/front-height-control-sensor-disassembled-389386/&h=585&w=892&tbnid=qZHWTkBSAsk8RM:&zoom=1&docid=bjdKMeZLgwBATM&ei=GqLKVNPzD4-f7gbh3IHoCQ&tbm=isch&ved=0CCQQMygGMAY
  16. I had a similar issues on my girlfriends Vauxhall astra and everyone told me i need a new cat. 2 bottles of Cataclean from Halfords or Eurocarpats whichever is easier for you and the mot passed without absolutely no problem. It only cost £15-£20 and it might save you rather than buy new cats.
  17. Hi Ben, I was wondering if you found what was causing the P0430 error code ?
