  1. He wants my ls430 but can't afford to pay on top. But that off side rear is a different shade
  2. But take a look at the car carefully because to me, the off side rear looks a different shade to the rest of the car. Unless it's the light, but it just doesn't look right
  3. The ones with out the wooden steering wheel are the earlier 2000/2001 models. This one should have had the wooden steering wheel, and if you look closer, the outer bit of the steering wheel is a different shade to the rest
  4. The car is the premium model so why does it have a steering wheel from one of the earlier ls430 that isn't a premium model?
  5. I had a really bad squeeking noise on start up on the 430, all I did was replace the belt and now no more squeaking
  6. It could be the clip behind the mirror is broken, hence why it doesn't move up and down
  7. No dismantling, get wd40 spray, put the straw thing on the end of it, and spray where it folds, with regards to the mirrors moving down, do you mean when you put in into reverse? If so, put the side mirror switch to the right and put into reverse and it should work, then again both mirrors should work, well both go down when I put my ls430 into reverse
  8. Regarding power fold mirrors, I remember buying my first ls430 from baz, and this was the issue with the mirrors, all I did was spray lubricant where it folds and it started working
  9. The seller who's a trader even said in the ad "I put it through an mot, and it went through without a sweat" well from looking at the mot history, I wouldn't say it went through mot without a sweat. It looks like a trader to avoid
  10. It looks nice, nice colour, but due to issues suspension components from the last couple of years, I don't think I'd touch it
  11. Is it this ls430 old baz was selling? It certainly sounds like it.
  12. Well regarding the extra oil cooler for the gearbox, I actually asked a lexus trained tech today about putting an extra oil cooler on my ls430 due to the horror stories regarding the gearbox failure, and his words were you can put as many oil coolers on the ls430, if the radiator is going to leak water into the gearbox, it will do regardless. He said best thing to do was fit a new radiator and that's all you need to do.
  13. The garage I use sometimes asks me what the forum says as they don't get many ls400/430 in for repairs, and if it's a complicated job, and then go by what I tell them. But I would say if your getting a vibrating and clunking noise sometimes too, it may be worth checking the calipers as I had this issue with a gs430 and it turned not only did I need new pads and discs, and I will advise to get the discs done too, but there was a little pin type of thing missing from the caliper hence why it was making a clunking noise when going over a bump as the pad was moving about slightly
  14. Thanks for the advice guys, I'm going to be using the toyota oil, can't believe all thsee years I've been buying oil from lexus dealers for £52 when I could have bought it from toyota dealers for £25
  15. Just out of curiosity, I normally buy the engine oil from lexus main dealers for £52 for 5 litres, but I went across the road to Toyota main dealers and the same oil for 5 litres is £25.
  16. Hi Hope someone can help me. I always use toyota 5w30 engine oil but due to times being so hard and the ls430 is due a service soon, will it be okay to use mobil 5w30 engine oil in the ls430? I have read good reviews, but I'm not too sure as I'm used to paying alot of money for the toyota oil from the dealers. Thanks in advance
  17. Nice Gs. I'm looking for a mk3 gs300 for my ls430 but it's hard finding a good one.
  18. My dad used to have a 1999 legend, I think he had it from new and when he sold it, the mileage was over 333000, but you couldn't tell, it always started first time and was a lovely car to drive, abit like an ls400
  19. Baz is a very nice guy but to be honest I think he's asking way too much for mk1 ls430 with that mileage.
  20. I think someone on the forum has all ready been to see the one in Rotherham and basically it's a shed
  21. He has had the number plate in other lexus's but I doubt that would be the cause of the mileage being all over the place
  22. Well I've just done a check on baz ls430 the mot history doesnt add up its states it's done over 332000 miles
