  1. Are you sure they are blown? I do know when you open door, they all light up, but when you close the door, only the 1 lights up. Or something like that.
  2. Hi Im looking for an sc430, can anyone give me some advice on what to look out for on a 2001 model please, and are they reliable cars? Thanks
  3. It looks like hes corrected as it wasnt like that earlier and ive also got a txt mesg from him saying its done 82000 miles

    Sc430

Well im going through a devorce now, and obviously i dont want to, but i think its for the best, and now want to treat myself to an sc430 as its only me and my 3 year old daughter, I know its a long shot, but does anyone (gold member) want to deal with my lovely 2005 Lexus Gs300? I dont mind it if the sc430 has high miles as mine has done 139000 miles but has full Lexus/Toyota service history and its in very good condition. Thanks
  5. Put the reg in the mot history and youll see for yourself. Also i remember speaking to the previous owner afew weeks ago when it was for sale, i lost his details now
  6. https://www.gumtree.com/p/lexus/prestigious-2006-lexus-ls430-4.3-v8-ono/1177915136 This vehicle has done over 280000 miles and hasnt had a cambelt replaced as previous owner was told it was chain driven, now this trader has bought it off the previous and clocked it back to 80000 miles, the reg is LD06VHK
  7. My father had a Honda Legend, he really looked after it, it had 457000 miles when he sold it, and it still started up first time
  8. For that price youd be better off getting the ls460
  9. Your not thinking about buying baz one are you? Apparently he sold a 51 reg ls430 recently for a white ls430, but if you look on gumtree, he's just advertised another gold ish coloured ls430 as he's still looking for a white one. Overpriced as usual, high mileage, with rust spots in the usual places. I don't understand him sometimes
  10. Hi there Thing I'd recommend is changing the suspension to coilovers which will cost around £600 and that's for all 4 I think, because if one air suspension is leaking now, it wont before the other one starts leaking. Okay so that ride may not be that smooth anymore, but you'd save alot of money, and another thing to do if it hasnt already been done is replace the radiator, as they can start to leak into the gearbox and then you'll need a new or refurbished gearbox. And your lexus looks very nice, beautiful colour and the wheels suit it
  11. Not cheap? I paid £37 for Denso sparkplugs for rockauto that lexus dealers quoted me at £75 for, I paid £30ish for lower arms from rockauto that lexus dealers quoted me £52 for.
  12. I've bought lower arms, air filter, sparkplugs, o2 sensors from them for my old ls400 and they were a prefect fit, I don't think it matters if it's left or right hand drive.
  13. Yes I've used rockauto afew times, their service is great, ive never had any bad issues with them
  14. If you don't want smears on glass, use Autofinnese glass cleaner, works wonders
  15. I'd take the car to Lexus Dealers to sort out and get the garage to pay for the repairs, the law is on your side on this one and to be honest due to how they've given you the car back, it wouldn't really surprise me if the service on it ie changed the oil, oil filter and sparkplugs etc hadn't been done.
  16. That looks good. I sometimes do detailing myself but only on my own Gs300 using products by Maguiers, Angelwax, Poorboys, Autobrite, and Autofinnese. Quiet expensive but we'll worth it, I don't use leather chamois to dry my car either, I use a special drying towel by company Dodo Juice as it doesn't scratch the car and doesnt leave smear marks and drys it quick time. I'm not a fan of Autoglym, im not saying it isn't good stuff, but there's better makes out there
  17. Theres a couple in the rear of the unit with shipment written on it, i think you gotta somehow switch back to normal and it should start to work
  18. I bought mine from Lexus Birmingham for £17
  19. Get it regassed and it should work, and also did i read right, you paid £22 for a pollen filter? They cost £17 at Lexus Main dealer and £5 at rockauto and thats Denso
  20. I dont think this is the reason you ac doesnt work, like Colin said above, it would have to be very very very very blocked
  21. https://www.gumtree.com/p/lexus/embrace-the-thug-life-lexus-ls400/1173098780 Apart from the steering wheel, it doesnt look that bad. The ad is funny though
  22. Hi So you just put the box in your boot, like anywhere in the boot?
  23. Hi Update: I took it back to Lexus Dealers, apparently the tech guy spilt a drop of oil on the manifold He cleaned it off but there is still just a tiny bit of smell coming from it, will that ease off itself or would I need to wash it off?
