  1. The wheelie bin was out, the dustman hit my car with his own big Blue wheelie bin from his lorry
  2. Goes in next week to get bumper resprayed, to be honest, since I've polished it, ive got rid of most of the scratches the binman left with his wheelie bin, there's only 2 very faint lines I can see, but hey ho, its going through their insurance so I might as well get it done
  3. Well got an email today from the council and they've accepted liability, thing is they want 2 quotes but I'd rather give to Lexus to do
  4. Thanks for that Mike. The council have emailed my sister back apologising for what's happened and have also said they are going have a word with their bin men as a lot of people have complained about the way just drag the bins and then just leave them anywhere on the street
  5. On Wednesday this week I caught a dustman squeezing a wheelie bin in between mine and my sister car scraping the rear bumper of my gs300. I saw it all happen through the front room window, i looked at my car and its only minor scratches that will probably polish out if I used my DA polisher but then I thought why should I, i didnt cause it, so I confronted the dustman, he denied it at first, but then said I may have done it after I told him I saw him do it, the woman at the council has been great, and she's waiting for the depot to get back to her, but say if the person who caused it disputes it, what should I do?
  6. Where abouts are you in Birmingham?
  7. There's another nice black mk4 1998 that's just come up on gumtree. Looks nice and low mileage but it has an issue with the air con. Oh this car has nothing to do with me, and I don't know the person selling it either im just pointing out that it looks nice for a potential buyer.
  8. Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=282151896285&alt=web I think it looks nice. Maybe asking abit too much for it, but looks good
  9. Try rockauto because I'm sure they sell the Philips oem bulb and is a cheaper, but I'd advise replacing both
  10. What year is the Gs300, and do you let the car warm up before driving off? I normally let my car warm up for about 5 mins and then drive off slowly
  11. Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=252509247806&alt=web It doesn't look to bad.
  12. I did write the word protect. Polish is the 2nd to last step before waxing a vehicle. I know I do detailing part time for myself just to earn abit of extra money.
  13. Oh Rayaan erm you do need the wax to help with giving the car a nice shine and to protect the paintwork when it rains etc. So thats compound, then polish which helps to get the paint work ready for the final stage which is the wax.
  14. Hi You can use a polisher but can also use a foam applicator and do it by hand. The compound will remove swirl marks and minor marks or scratches, then use a good polish and a good wax. Autoglym is good, but there's better stuff out there. I don't use Autoglym. I first pressure wash the car to get some dirt off, then use a good snowfoam, leave the snowfoam for about 10 mins, then wash off what ever is left, then use a good shampoo, don't use a wash and wax shampoo, but before all that wash the alloys with a separate mitt, anyway wash the shampoo off and then dry with a drying towel, I don't use a leather chamois as it leaves streaks and some marks, I use poorboys drying towel, once dry, use the compound, really rub it in but softly, wipe off with micro fibre cloth them polish and wax the car.
  15. Hi there Use a compound first, then use a Polish and then wax your car, you'll see then the colour come up real nice and it will have a lovely gloss. Personally I wouldn't use no t cut or turtle wax products, there's better stuff out there
  16. Hi again it does sound like the car battery is dying hence car alarm will go off unless something metal in the centre console
  17. Lexus dealers sell touch up paint. Why don't you try them, and as for getting the bumper resprayed at some point, I wouldn't bother, stone chips will occur again.
  18. Yes thats right, I've just checked the mileage again through mot history and it all adds up now
  19. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/lexus/ls-400/used-lexus-ls-400-4-0-4dr-macclesfield-fpa-201608156811886 Hi guys I've just seen this on Autotrader, its got nothing to do with me but I thought someone might be interested, but numberplate looks familier
  20. Sorry to hear that. The previous owner of my Gs300 called me during the week saying he misses it and wants to buy it back after he had seen pictures and said "youve taken it to a different level" basically I got the wheels refurbished and because I do detailing part time for myself, I got the car gleaming, but i wasnt so sure I wanted to sell as he offered me a very reduced price for it, but I don't know what else I'd buy if I did sell it, although I do like the sc430, and one of my friends has anot 06 325i m sport BMW, but I don't think I'd buy that.
  21. Hi If you dont mind me asking, What is yourequired budget? Personally I've always liked the 7 series BMW, if never driven a BMW but the shape on the 2005 onwards model is very nice. But the gearbox issue always puts me off.
  22. It could be fault with the car battery. When was it last replaced?
  23. Hes deleted the picture showing the mileage on odometer which stated 81000 miles
