  1. Hi I have the same ish issue with my sc430, well it gets nice and hot on drivers side, but luke warm air comes out the far the far passenger vent, but when I rev it, it gets hot, and this only started happening when I replaced a leaking coolant hose and bled the system. Maybe I bled it wrong or maybe the valve is sticking or maybe the heater core needs cleaning.
  2. Hi there that's great info The oil leak is cam cover gasket, £11 each from lexus Birmingham
  3. I'm sure this was on cars with no reserve on eBay. Looks nice and same colour interior as mine
  4. I had something similar fitted to a gs300 I had and it would charge the phone and also play music from the phone
  5. My mk3 that I've now sold was done back in 2016 and it was done in 4 hrs
  6. Hi there The problem could be a bad alternator. First check for corrosion on battery terminals, then check that the alternator has been fitted correctly and no corrosion on the wires either
  7. Sometimes it could be down to the vvt solenoid needing to be replaced.
  8. That's funny, I didn't think lexus approved lpg. I had an ls400 that I had converted to lpg and didn't approve of it and wouldn't replace things like cambelt or drivebelt or even change oil unless the lpg system was taken off
  9. Here's another one https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-LS400-1999-Full-Service-History-Great-Condition/162874954722?hash=item25ec1a93e2:g:YvoAAOSwXOVabiDU
  10. So does that mean the speedo has done 50000 odd thousand miles but the engines done more?

  13. No problem, they are about £12 for all 3
  14. It could be the bushes on the air suspension pump. They make a noise when the bushes are perishing
  15. I've heard you can fit the mk4 ls400 springs and shocks on an ls430 or if you want coilovers, bc coilovers work on ls430 or better still, go for meister r
  16. Lexus Sheffield replace the radiator as a precaution as they know about the issue, so do lexus Birmingham and Coventry, so my guess the person got it replaced as a precaution or peace of mind. I've had an ls430 that the radiator had been replaced on and I never thought anything of it, I've also had it replaced on my sc430 just as a precaution
  17. I've had 2 mk3 gs300 and a mk2 gs430. The mk3 are great cars, to be honest the drive on it didn't feel much different to the Ls and also being direct injection, it was very good on fuel, I drive like miss daisy, so on a long run I was getting 39-42mpg. Boot space was good too, I loved everything about it, but then I think some sort of midlife crises and bought an sc430, which is lovely too, but for some reason I think the mk2 gs430 was better built, even the leather interior in the mk2 was more heavy duty if you know what I mean
  18. There was a guy recently selling an ls430 on Facebook. He replaced the air suspension with the Lexus ls400 suspension and said it drove great
  19. messi

    Wanted: LS400

Yeah when I had an ls400, I had it lpg converted at save lpg. They did it in a day and what a good job it was. When you opened the bonnet, you couldn't see anything to say the car was on lpg, except for the ecu in the corner
  20. Is a faster car better than a reliable car? GS450h is nice, but if i was in the market for one I would want to make sure the batteries had been replaced before I purchased the car, so for me and my personally opinion , I would stick with a Gs300/430.
  21. Yes the price is about right. Lexus reading had one in 2 weeks ago, 2006 with 52000 miles which sold for £5700
  22. I like that. If i was in the market for one, that would be on my list
  23. £900 for a timing belt? Wow, it's £395 at main dealers and add £101 extra for the water pump.
  24. I would get the gs300/Gs430. The gs450h is very nice car, and I mean very nice, but when the hybrid batteries fail, yes it's expensive, there is guy on here who does replace or repair them for I think for £800, but boot space is small, but you won't get that issue with a Gs300/430
