  1. This is what I get at 60mph in my ls400
  2. Lexus recommend 5w30. I think the manual also recommends 5w30.
  3. I had this issue on a sc430, it's funny but happened once and then it never happened again for months, but when it did happen again, the fault code was for 1 of cylinders misfiring, when we checked it, it was the coil pack, it had a crack in it, replaced it, and all was well after that, the fault only occurred when the engine was warm
  4. Lexus birmingham had a fixed price for the belt replacement £295 and then add £100 with water pump. But I got mine done at my local garage as I've known them for years and years and I bought the parts and they charged me £180 to get them replaced
  5. Thanks for that Steve. I'll mesg you to let you know the days I'm free to see if we can sort something out.
  6. That's a good idea. But how do i take the lighter out?
  7. Hi Can anyone fix the cig lighter in my ls400 if I drive and meet up some where on a weekend please. I'm useless at these things. It's the front cig lighter, I don't smoke but it would be nice to have it working so I can charge my phone. Someone on here said it's that small wire thingy at the rear of the lighter that needs soldering. Hope someone can help
  8. Well maybe he caused the problem, and checked the fuel cap to see if the seal was intact and then erased the fault, but when you drove out a few miles it came back up again. I've never known an mot where the mechanic takes the fuel cap off. Sounds fishy to me
  9. Why would a mechanic remove the fuel cap for an mot? Never heard of that one before.
  10. Why don't you use a proper drying towel? Leather chamois do leave streaks but a proper drying towel won't. You can get them online. I use dodo juice drying towel.
  11. I liked your Gs300. I thought it looked really nice
  12. The person did mine used to work for a company called profess In Wales some where. He did an old x reg ls400 for me too a few years ago. He's done a good job. It's a stag 330 or 350 lpg system. It's a newer version, I can't remember the exact number it is though
  13. I drive my car 5 days a week to work and back, and every other weekend to Manchester to see brother in law etc so that justifies having lpg. I'm not sure why some people are put off by lpg, you save hell of a lot of money if fuel prices.
  14. That does look nice. They look brand new in that colour when washed and polished. I'm off to a petting farm in stoke today with my little one. She loves it too saying "it's really comfy in here dad"
  15. I had an x reg ls400 a few years ago and I had that lpg converted by them and they are very good.
  16. How did you check service history? Have you got a link to it?
  17. Thanks guys. Oh I got it lpg converted here in birmingham by a company called save lpg
  18. Just thought I'd share a couple of pic of my Lexus ls400. Had her about a month now. Gave her a full service including sparkplugs etc and had her lpg converted and fixed the air con leak. It also has the half wood steering wheel too.
  19. I bought an ls400. I don't think I'd buy an ls430 again, I think the Ls400 is a better built car. It's green in colour with cream interior and it's got the half wood steering wheel. It's got 93000 miles on the clock.
  20. If only you were selling this last month. Instead i bought a 1999 Lexus ls400 that I've just had converted to lpg too. If I hadn't had bought this, I would have bought your gs300.
  21. I think I have one. The owner before said he bought it from Lexus some time ago. I've actually taken the tow bit of the car but the other where you plug in something is still on the car. I'm never going to use it so I'm going to take the other bit off too.
  22. Thanks for the advice. It was just that o ring. Got it fixed and had it regassed for £20 ( from a friend) and all is well so far.
  23. Hi Sharna how do i use Amayama? It's abit complicated, it doesn't seem to show any parts that I need
  24. Found the leak but how do I fix it? 20180723_100221.mp4
