I'll keep this short as I can
I have a 2000 IS200 -90k miles still running sweet as a nut but..
Came back from holiday and the battery was flat - no big deal, jump start and away it went. I drove about 2 miles but, guess what - not enough charge to start again so I left it a couple of days.
Sunday morning - hangover (I know!!) - tried to jump start and..you can guess the next bit.. got the terminals crossed. Blew the 120A fuse in the box :(
Silly me..
So I replaced the fuse and called out breakdown - they tried to jump start - but now all the lights come on, dashboard is lit up like a Christmas tree but when you turn the key..nothing at all. No clicks, nothing, just silence. As I say all the electrics work, including the radio/AC etc
Recovered it to a local garage where they think its the immobilizer - problem is i only have 1 key fob - the spare broke into bits ages ago. I've had a good look round the forums and tried some of the suggestions but nothing has worked. Now, I don't want to spend silly money getting the immobilizer replaced - the car is barely worth £900 as a trade in and I'm looking to trade it in before the next MOT.
Its been a real workhorse and I would hate to part with it but I cant justify (or afford) any big expense to get it back on the road - can anyone here point me in the right direction.
Many thanks guys
Dave
