How long does delivery take?
imgo replied to Deb's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Hi Deb, welcome to LOC. I ordered my 350h in Feb this year and my latest ETA is March 2023. My dealership have indicated that if you order an NX350h now, ETA is 2024. Read somewhere that delivery times in Japan for the 350h are approx 2 years. Very long delays on 350h, not so on 450h+. -
He was talking about all models, not just the IS300h. Just shows how good the Lexus / Toyota battery / hybrid system is. I am an Electronic Engineer so I appreciate its reliability when compared to the German / Italian / US sh*t that I deal with every day in my profession (not vehicle related but CNC machine tools)

Thank you Colin B for the clarification. When my HB failed I was expecting to have to pay for it as I did not know it would be covered, so a nice surprise.
-
Pork pie, yuk 🤮
-
I agree that the website seems to contradict itself and is confusing. All I can say is that I have had the regular 10k hybrid health checks when getting serviced, and they did replace the HB at 204k miles under that warranty at no cost to me. So I am very happy, and hopefully my experience would be replicated to others who may have HB failures in the future.
-
The sales guy who sold me my IS300h at Lexus Birmingham in 2013 is still there now and he told me that they have only had to replace 4 or 5 HB in total, very rare to fail.
-
Definitely not ! I have owned a Mercedes , worst service ever experienced after purchasing. I will never buy anything else other than a Lexus, just can't beat them.

The dash suddenly came up with a fault (see pic) "Check hybrid system..", car was still driveable using ICE only, took it to my Lexus dealer (Birmingham) where their technician plugged in laptop and diagnosed that one of the cells was at about 10v when it should have been around 12v. Had a courtesy car for a few days while they ordered and fitted new battery, all done under lexus warranty (Would have cost about £3,500 otherwise). I was told that everytime I had it serviced they did a hybrid check and that extended the hybrid battery warranty by another 10,000 miles. I have never missed a service since new, so already have done 20 services every 10k at Lexus Birmingham. Battery performance:- Well I have never driven my car like a boy racer (that was in the '80s) so I don't know if it has improved acceleration or not. However, I have noticed an increase in my mpg. Prior to the battery being replaced I was averaging around 46 to 48 mpg on my 35 mile trip to work. After the new battery my average work trip mpg is around 52 mpg (without really trying) and as high as 59 mpg (if I try hard with a light right foot). One thing that I have noticed is that it makes no difference if I drive in Eco with heater/ AC / seats all off, OR in Sport mode with heater / AC / heated seats on, I tend to get around the same mpg. I can't remember if that was the case 9 years ago when I had the car from new. Hope the info helps Michael

For anyone considering getting a high mileage IS300h I would definitely say go for it as long as you've got full service history. I have privately owned my IS300h Premier from new since August 2013 and it is the best car I've ever had by miles. I have full Lexus main dealer servicing and have looked after it. I have now done 209k and it drives like new still getting over 50 mpg on my journey from Leicester to Birmingham every day for work. Had a new hybrid battery at 204k which was done under Lexus warranty, and I have full confidence this car will go for another 200,000+ miles. Sadly I will be selling mine early next year as I have ordered a new NX 350h Takumi, although it did take me about 6 months to decide whether to to keep my IS for another few years or to order a new NX. I decided to go for the new NX as my wife and I why are approaching retirement and the IS is an extremely low car to get in and out of and we both now struggle, other than that I would have probably kept it longer. Below is my link when I clocked 200k. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/133270-200000-miles-and-counting/

In my IS300h, I let the miles left indication go to zero ( not deliberately) and drove about 5 miles more then filled up with over 56 litres of fuel, the car only has a 55 litre tank ! -
NX 2022 delivery date
imgo replied to KoeNX's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Just had my monthly email update from my Lexus dealer, my ETA has changed from April 23 to March 23 for my NX350h Takumi ordered 12th Feb. Still no confirmed build slot. -
When I was involved in the development of TRW tpms sensor systems 20 years ago, I seem to remember that Michellin run flat tyres could only be fitted to a special rim and that any standard tyre could not be fitted to that said rim.
-
Hi, I can't answer your tyre query, but could you let us on the forum know when you ordered your 350h, and if it was via a dealer or lease company etc. Only because delivery times seem to be very vague and random, so your experience may shed some light.

Very nice Matt, you lucky b****r !, more pics and ownership comments when you have time. Is that 'velvet black' or 'graphite black metallic' ? I have ordered my 350h Takumi in graphite black metallic with Hazel Interior. -

Thanks for that info Simon, mine was ordered on the 12th Feb so hopefully will be included in that production batch of 350h. You have told me more than what the dealership knows! -

For all of us who are still waiting for our new NX, be it a 350h or 450h+, it is very encouraging to hear from other users on here who already have their cars that it will be "worth the wait" and that they can also get fantastic MPGs. So thank you all for your very positive comments on your ownership experiences, it does help us, and gives us hope !! -

I ordered my 350h 12 feb. But no build progress as yet -
Ooh, not seen that before as my IS300h hasn't got that
-
Thanks for the trip mpg update, 61.5 for the size of car is incredible. Do you have the average mpg of your car over the last 380 miles from new? So looking forward to getting my 350h, very jealous !

Popped into my dealership this afternoon, was quoted £375 supply and fit for front and rear Nextbase dash cam system for my NX350h due 2023, so I ordered it today, payment when I collect the car, hopefully for 1st March '23 for the new reg (even though I will put my private plate on it).

I too am pleased for Matt, but the seemingly random ETAs need addressing by Lexus, and to keep us informed. -

W H A T ? ? How on earth have you managed that, my 350h Takumi was ordered on the 12th Feb (before you, just) and on the app it is still showing as "Order in progress", with my dealer saying eta of around April 2023. #confused -
I had no idea that rims were that costly https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_dmd=2&_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_ssn=lexusofficialstore&store_cat=5219964016&store_name=lexusofficialstore&_oac=1

Well, not bad compensation, but you have been waiting since November. I wonder if we all get that once it's been 10 months! I have been waiting 7 months today since my 350h Takumi order on 12th Feb.
