Remote start & warmup for winter.
imgo replied to JayKayWolves's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Many thanks for the info Brian. As I am not due to take delivery of my NX350h until sometime next year (who knows), I can't see what the app could control. -

I am a little confused about using the app to remotely pre-heat / cool the cabin. Can someone confirm what features the 450h has and what features the 350h has. -

My 2013 IS300h Premier (PCS/AHB/BSM/LKA, SUNROOF) has now done 211k from new and will possibly reach 220k when I sell it early next year. Still drives like new, will be sorry to see it go. -

And I thought it was only me who had ice on the inside of my bedroom window!, the joys of living in a council house in the early 70's with no central heating and just a single 3 bar electric fire in the lounge. I also remember walking over a mile to infant school in the snow that was deeper than my wellies. If you weren't dead, you went to school. The best years of our lives as they say ! -

So carrying on from my previous post about extended delivery date for my car, I then contacted my dealership and 'complained' a bit about the endless delays, which were then passed on to Lexus UK. I have today received what must be a standard response letter with a Goodwill gesture and apology with the following paragraph at the end. "As a result, as a gesture of our responsibility and by way of a respectful and genuine apology, we would like to offer you £500 of goodwill support, which can be used towards, or to cover the cost of one of the following: - Lexus Service Plan - Lexus Genuine Accessories - Lexus Merchandise" I think this is the same as a couple of other members have received on here, better than nothing and if you don't ask you don't get, so I'm happy. -

The 10 year plus ext warranty only covers you to 150,000 miles, I have just clocked 210k miles. -

Just annoyed as my original ETA was 19th Aug and my extended warranty on my current Lexus expired on the 15th August, so driving around for another 9 months without any warranty was not what I planned when I placed my order -
NX 2022 delivery date

Just had my regular monthly update from my Lexus dealership regarding my NX350h Takumi ordered on 12th Feb 2022 :- "The ETA is now showing nearer middle of Quarter two in 2023 at this time, I will keep you updated" So basically May 2023, 15 months since order. Last month on 26th Sept I was given an ETA of March 23, so it has slipped by 2 months since then. Not happy. The original delivery date was due to be 19th August 2022. Will Lexus give any compensation for this extended openended delay?? -

Just a quick query to those in the know. For those of us who are are awaiting a vehicle to be delivered sometime in 2023, i.e. not built yet, does that mean they are technically 2023 model year vehicles? and are there any differences between 2022 and 2023 specifications at all. I suspect no change but just curious. On another note I am sure I have read somewhere that if a vehicle was ordered as a 2022 model, but delivered as a 2023 model, then they have the right to increase the price? -
Will try them, as their website does indicate they will buy ANY car ! Not selling just yet as waiting for my NX (March '23 eta?), but just wanted an idea of price.

Hmm, mine just had it's 210k service Wednesday, autotrader it is then me thinks.

Just had a look on motorway to get a valuation for my is300 but they won't touch it as I have done too many miles for them.

There will be a lot of disappointment for those yet to place an order for their 350h. They have sold out for all the allocation for 2023, but hardly anyone has got one. I have never seen one on the road yet, only seen two 450h+ in the wild. -

NX350h Acceleration spec

NX350h Acceleration spec
imgo replied to imgo's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Firstly I agree about the wind resistance is greater at 62 mph when compared to 60 mph, but i would suggest not significantly different for just 2 mph, but its been 34 years since I did fluid dynamics so I could be very wrong. But I do bow to your expert knowledge Colin. The point I was trying to say is that when I put my foot down from a stop in my is300h, the initial acceleration is slower than say at 10mph as the ICE needs to kick in to full power, so the 60 to 62 time would (or should?) be much quicker than the 0 to 2 time, hence the average rate of acceleration to 62 is more than the average rate of acceleration to 60. All that in mind, does that mean the NX350h 0-60 is infact 7.2 sec? -
I recently downloaded a wrong spec sheet for the 350h, noticed that all measurements were in inches, then realised it was for America. Duh. But one spec stood out, the 0 to 60 mph acceleration was listed as 7.2 sec. I know that the UK spec is 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) but that is listed at 7.7 sec. So I did some basic maths. US: if 0 to 60 was 7.2 sec then 0 to 62 is approximately 62/60 * 7.2 = 7.44 sec, not the 7.7 UK spec, hmmm. Infact it would be quicker than 7.44 sec as I used the average acceleration of 0 to 60, ignoring the fact that at 60 mph the car would be accelerating faster than at say 10 mph. UK: if 0 to 62 was 7.7 sec then 0 to 60 is approximately 7.7/62 *60 = 7.45 sec, not the 7.2 US spec, hmm hmmm. Again, it would be slightly slower than 7.45 sec for the oposite reasons I gave above. So I pose the questions:- Why is there such a big (aparrent) difference in the US and UK specs? Exactly how quick is the NX350h 0 to 60mph? Has anyone independently measured it? It has just bugged me since I noticed the 'too big a difference' in the specs. I guess that someone on here will tell me that a US mile is smaller that a UK mile, or something like that !

Also looks like the finance APR has gone up from 4.9 % to 7.9% from today.

I was initially told that I would have mine by 19th August 22, 6 months after order, but everyone's delivery times have slipped.
