Hi Deb, My IS300h had Black metallic paint and looked great. My NX350h (due any day now) is the Graphite Black metallic too. I have been offered the ceramic coating protection from my lexus dealer, but unsure as I have never seen a ceramic coated black metallic lexus before. So, in your opinion, how different does it look, and what cost / where did you have yours done? Michael.

My IS300h that I just sold had the original 12v battery from new in 2013, never had a problem, even going on holiday for 2 weeks several times. Must have been lucky.

I ordered 12th Feb 22, hopefully pick my car up next week. I really don't know why yours has not been built yet. Mine is a Takumi spec, which has the longest lead time due to semiconductor shortages etc.

App update now saying on way to Leicester Lexus from Derby, so it should be there any hour now. Car ordered 14th February 2022.

P.S. my NX350h Takumi was unloaded from the ship yesterday at Portbury, so we'll see how long it takes to get to Leicester Lexus.

When I asked my Lexus dealership for the ship name they said that they have tried to get the ship name from Luxus UK in the past but can't. So, I sent one quick email to Lexus customer relations asking for the info which was answered the next day with the ship info.

Mine entered build 9th May, est pick up date for me is 10th July, so 2 months.

Time will now pass a lot quicker than you think . Due in Portbury on the 13th July.

I won't get it Saturday, that is when the ship docks, so will get it about 3 weeks later I think after getting lost in the Derby Black Hole.

I think it is only on the Takumi spec

Just for comparison between the NX350h Takumi (that I have ordered) and the RX350h Takumi. Nx350h Takumi £59,485 RX350h Takumi £76,625 Price premium of £17,140 for the RX, ok it's a bit larger, nicer interior, equipment about the same I think. I could not justify the extra £17k myself, the NX would satisfy all my motoring needs along with lower fuel and maintenance costs. I have not driven the new RX, but have tried RX450h's before, they felt a little disconnected from the road when compared to my IS300h. The new NX however felt as good as my IS on the road, hence my order. Don't get me wrong, if money was no problem I would opt for the RX450h+, but I have a cat to feed. Oh, and I have to keep on the 'good side' of my wife.

Is the registration date really that important these days? I took delivery of my IS300h on the 15th August 2013, I could have waited another 2 weeks for the newer registration date, but as I intended to keep the car for 8 years it would not make much difference really. Now 10 years on I still have it for about another 6 weeks until my NX350h Takumi arrives mid July ish.

I am sure I had a similar issue but ended up right clicking "open in new tab" as it was something to do with page pop-ups being blocked on my pc.
