  1. I always ran mine exactly as road pressures and never had an issue. As you say there seems to be two schools of thought generally, some of the more enthusiastic guys run lower for better traction, whilst others insist you need to go up to ensure you keep the tyres on the rims, particularly if there is high speed corners. Anyway have fun the ISF is great on track.
  2. Maybe its the other way round, they can only buy them cheap as they HAVE to spend a lot on them to bring them up to Lexus Approved spec.
  3. Yeah yours looked a great deal. Loved mine until its demise. But when I got the pay-out, I think there were 2 for sale and both were much younger cars, so I decided to have something different. I don't often re-visit cars I've had, but with this one I could make an exception.
  4. yeah the guy who was selling it trough the garage messaged me direct a few months ago, he said it had a lot done to it in terms of refurbd wheels re-painted front bumper etc, warranty and servicing. he painted a picture of a car that needed nothing.
  5. 4-5% over reading seems about right. So that same margin at 50mph would have it showing 52 ish. Sounds bang on to me.
  6. Its the perfect family car Ace, you'll be fine, two baby seats in the back, and I'm sure you'll find a double buggy to fit in the boot. Anyway many congrats, get some sleep now while you can. :-) There's been big discounts now from where cars were 4 or 5 months ago, they are starting to get more realistic in my view. I'm surprised the Black one in Leeds is still up for sale though, I guess even that will get a discount soon, despite been more realistically priced that many of the others. Ace did you look at the Red one in Brum, its down to 22K now after being originally up at 25K?
  7. This is making me want another one.
  8. You can get a PCP on older cars. I had a PCP on mine at 4years old from a Lexus Dealer.
  9. Oh they are absolutely, no doubt about it. I paid £21.8K back in June 2012 for 56Kmile 08 plate from a Lexus dealer.
  10. Despite what some say, most of the cars on Autotrader that have been there a while are overpriced. the good value ones are being snapped up quickly. I'm sure this was reduced from its orginal £22,500 to £20,995, but appears its been put back up again. In reality, its a £20K car I would think. theres one at Lexus Leeds with less miles and 1K cheaper, plus Lexus dealer warrenty pressumably. http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/used-IS-F/IS-F/5.0/Leeds/2070391-604923555-1609627.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_
  11. I'll keep a look out for you. When I had mine and despite traveling extensively through the uk and living and working in shorpshire and west mids, I never saw another whilst I had mine. Turns out there's actually another one less than 2 miles from my house, in the same colour as mine was!!!
  12. Yeah I saw that add too, was very well priced. Well done and enjoy. they look really very nice in white.
  13. Doubt he'll take it back, they are a performance bargain, and given the F has 100bhp more I guess he'll be pretty happy.
  14. Yeah very expensive, given they could be redundant it the very near future.
  15. Are they Legal to use?
  16. Yeah I know, white is an acquired taste. :D
  17. That white one is great value. I wouldn't hesitate if I was after one. The whites a nice choice too. I personally think that bar a couple, most available at the moment are still overpriced.
  18. So with all that work being required soon, its not quite the bargain it appears I guess. The list you posted means it probably will need £2K spent on it.
  19. Its on Ebay too, again at that dodgy Halifax dealer, price has come down a lot. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-Lexus-IS-F-AUTO-5-0-4dr-DAMAGED-REPAIRED-034-034-RARE-CARS-034-034-/251895793772?_trksid=p2054897.l4275
  20. Always liked the RS Megane. It is probably the most "alive" of the current crop of very capable hot hatches, and very good on the track apparently, so enjoy.
  21. What's the Megane like?
  22. Spotted my first one on Saturday on the M5 in blue. Haven't seen one in the metal at all, so it was quite a surprise.
  23. Wonder if they are all LSD equipped cars?
