I was an IS-f owner, and love them. I'm only interested in the IS-F so very rarely post outside the IS-F section. Why is my opinion less valid? Anyway I'm out if this is the way it is.
-
There's a guy on here with a modified IS-F, lets not get judgmental!!!

Thats because most refurb places use 1 colour to refurb the wheels. The original wheels have a silver base coat with dark grey stuck on top which gives the titanium effect and hence why its quite hard to match because its actually got 3 layers altogether including the clear coat.
Getting them finished like original i.e 2 different paints usually costs abouto £100 a wheel.
great thanks for the info.

The original finish is very smart, its has a very glossy, mirror like finish to it, none of the refurbished wheels I have seen come close which is a real shame. The colour is close but this mirror like effect seems to get lost.

38 when I had mine

IS300 is a different car old model.
-
I purchased the policy from Lexus Cardiff, it was a Sytner one, as Lexus Cardiff was owned by them at the time.
-
I've purchased the dealer versions a few times and have always been happy. When I did have to claim for the IS-F :-( the process of claiming was easy, and in fact I was in receipt of funds before my the insurance pay out cash landed.
-
I noticed he had a couple of A45s, one was a facelift which are pretty scarce even at MB dealers.

The usual hire car company stock, ragged around by young lads on weekend hires etc. Not sure if I have ever seen an ISF available via the usual hire websites though.
Which was my point. I haven't ever seen one for hire either.

hell your m3 looks good!
-
IS-F ex rental???
-
Your Imola Red M3 sounds like a nice car too. Good colour for that car.
-
2010 is the pivotal moment for the ISF as the LSD was added, there were other small changes each model year from then on till the end. DRLs were a year later I think. It depends what's important to you.
-
Thats a 2009 car so wouldn't have the pale interior, those wheels or any of the later goodies anyway.
-
They have definitely gone up since I had mine.
I had the 70K and 80K while I had mine. and it was well over £100 less than that for the 80K one in 2013
-
seems high, is it the 60K 6 year one though?
-
Love that design of wheel. Together with the Mesa red and pale interior, that would be pretty perfect in my eyes.
-
the only issue I had was the climate control system packed up...the electronics bit.
-
Im surprised they covered the MMS, usually they are excluded.
-
It was the advert we were slagging off, not the car, didn't you know the Guy who advertised it ACE?????
-
Given its history its still worth well north of 10K. The car was in brum/Walsall when last advertised with these exact pictures. The seller joined eBay on the 12th February 2016 and has zero feedback. coupled with the daft price, there's enough red flags for me.
By all means carry on, but I bet he'll want payment by bank transfer when you agree a deal.
Off course I could be wrong and be too suspicious in my old age!

I will do it myself, a full enhancement will take me 2 days from this point but when I have a weekend with good weather I'll get it done. Today was just stage one, and I'm sure she's a lot happier for it. I managed to kill off about 60% of the swirls with the one pass DA today, obviously not happy with that, just time i need to find to do it.
Great stuff.
-
Are you going to get the paint sorted, those swirls are really bad. A full correction will be pricey given the damage but with that colour it will look epic when its done.
ISF track days

I did 5 sprint type track days and 4 laps of the ring in my Is-f, and never had a hint of understeer. It was pretty impressive I thought given its weight, just wished I d managed to get to Donnington in it.
