I wouldnt say all suffer. Some turbo engines already have a good amount of torque and BHP to begin with, and thats when your laughing

If you really want to experience what Lexus is all about get the V6 250. From what ive read you pay a little extra in fuel costs for so much more refinement. Alot of ppl are strictly in the market for a diesel which i respect and therefore the 220d is the only option but yes, has some minor reliability problems i would personally not want to deal with. Im not the expert just what ive stumbled across, ide ask the owners in the IS220d section or search the many threads that have already covered your question. Theres alot of happy IS220d owners at the same time

I bought a universal centre console box armrest and modified the wood frame and fixed it to lid screw mounts. Alot of trial and error, and its a bit of a bodge tbh but does the job nicely, the extra storage is nice and is very comfy :) Think i would of just got one like in your picture to save the hassle now though, but didnt know about punto one at the time. You can also get universal in this style which i reckon could be bodged by using either the screws under rear ash tray or screws under storage compartment, it wouldnt be a straight fit and you would have to get a bit creative or if your brave screw into the centre tunnel. Im thinking along the lines of screwing a wood block to where available and mount OEM is about £100 but i have had ppl say its a bit low

Looks good, but when i was gonna get one was just gonna get a cheap one, preferably a android based one so i can customize the interface and navigation type and use apps such as OBDII, waze and co pilot. I never really looked into it in the end, buying cheap kit might have drawbacks.

I find the throttle quit sensitive on the IS200, that might be just me though, my wife disagrees but shes driven more autos than me. so with me and snow on i find i have more control over the pedal and prevent more gas than i need thus giving better economy especially on takeoff or slow moving traffic -

Im good at spotting the latest cars, in fact it can be a bit dangerous when something catches my eye if im driving! but yet to see the new IS. When i do ill post a picture and if i see the owner and its parked i may even be cheeky and ask to take a look inside, except doesnt seem i have that child like innocent about me i used to have when ppl let me haha

Good point. Forgot it wasnt sold in USA. As for mainstream ifind motortrend very good. Saabkyle great for detailed analysis and stats. The only british is car buyer part of autoexpress but its not great

Actually yes. I received a response from the US embassy 2 weeks ago saying my visa has been accepted and i am able to proceed to the next step, which basically means it was approved :D Still alot to do, but march looks promising

Not sure why more ppl dont do this who dont have navi, seems a easy and simple mod. but then again not everyones a nerd like me lol I would prob do it if i wasnt selling to be a bit more upto date, all you need is a cheap 7" gps (not cheap in your case) of ebay and a used navi housing then a bit of wiring and bodging into housing and jobs a goodn

Yeah tax can be a killer on some new cars. Very frustrating. Its almost like the government tell you what your allowed to drive. Audi have been defying physics recently with there engines (petrols). Is there a catch tho. Reliabilty?

Was nav really a 2k option? i read that on here somewhere. Also i reckon 22k is equiv to about 28k in todays money, with inflation in mind?

So youve ordered the 250 with gears and 6 cylinders - good choice, i think ide do the same as MPG has never bothered me (not like is bad anyway) and as much as ppl have praised this 4 cylinder in the 300h i doubt it has the same nature as a nice sounding and smooth 6 cylinder. The 250 is sooo much cheaper too. like 5k isnt it?

Hi guys, i bought some cheap spray on dash shine from wilkos and i thought i nearly ruined my dash plastics! after it dried it looked all faded and white and was a nightmare to get rid. just a word of warning While im here, anyone know of a good way to shine up the dash? maybe trim/tyre gel type product?

Well i only used normal tape because i couldnt find my masking tape, but it definitely saved it from some major scratching as the tape was all creased and marked but had one or two marks it got through. Hardly noticeable really but im fussy like that and 1 or 2 marks is 1 or 2 more than before! Annoying thing was i found my masking tape when i put my tools back in the shed lol anyway meh im over it now, plus it was already scratched before hand so not like it was perfect to begin with from the 3 previous owners

Yeah, the only bad news is even though I taped up my dash it still got a bit scratched. Nothing major but still upset.
