  1. I hope its not to cold to look at cars :hohoho:
  2. I was talking specifically about the Lexus 17"s. I dont think they look good black
  3. Fair play to you. Saying that the only reason most ppl drive around in eco boxes and diesels is they are too tight arsed to pay for the fuel, not that they cant afford it
  4. Yeah not a fan of full on black but grey looks awesome.
  5. Like you ive read alot of ppl having sticking calipers but from personal experience my drivers side went after 13 years of use so im not complaining. Its just wear and tear. Not had any issues with the refurb but its only been a year
  6. looks better but started to see smoke! must be the paint from the can
  7. I was picking my wife up the other day and she was waiting for me outside her friends house and she said that my HIDs were quite dazzling. Ive never really looked from a distance so i had a look last night i they are more dazzling than i thought. I know the cheap kits will always have a bad light pattern but didnt think that bad. I refuse to pay stupid money for those HIDS4U bulbs that just have a bit of tape stuck to the bulb so i just copied the design :) I used a black soda can and cut out the metal in the shape of the antiglare type bulbs and from what i can see it has worked a treat. When its dark ill have another look and take a picture
  8. Yeah its a GS for me next. I love my IS but I do find it a bit crampt I must say
  9. I use my car everyday too, but if the OP said it drys in 30 mins then i believe that so shouldnt be a prob
  10. LPG cost a grand to fit and thats on the cheap, unless youve bought the car with it, its a investment that should be given some thought. Personally i dont see the point LPGing a IS200. A V8 yes
  11. Town and Motorway driving really does differ on these cars which ive recently found out even though ive had the car a year ive never really monitored my MPG before lol. I do 90% town driving most of the time, but when i go out on a trip or long drive i can achieve 25% better fuel economy which is a nice surprise for me. Normally get around 350 miles out of a tank 90% town driving but 450 is easily achievable on the motorway on a long run which is 30mpg. Ive not found this on any previous cars ive owned, if anything they used to struggle at high speeds resulting in sameish MPG as town driving. I have a automatic btw so less MPG than manual. I reckon the performance will be slightly better than a ZS120 and a much different driving experience being a 6 cylinder. I dont think you'll see much of a difference in MPG compared either, i mean it will be slightly worse but minimal
  12. Thanks for this info because i saw those kits with the spray can, brush and 250ml of paint on ebay for £12.90 and was wondering if it would do all 4. Im gonna do mine next week i think but do one at a time as well. Also not sure why ppl use spray paint seems more logical to use brush. Gonna do mine black with silver decals if anyones wondering How many coats per caliper btw?
  13. Im quite fussy about cars, especially new ones. but i cannot fault the new IS at all. Its the feeling i get with mine, that they built it with me in mind
  14. Watching this video i found makes me want the new IS even more. its amazing!
  15. I would come, but prolly not over night
  16. Sounds good with only a few niggles that can easily be put right. Good job on the alloys
  17. Owning a diesel is all about good MPG and if your not even getting that whats the point lol
  18. Wow really nice. Only thing i dont like on the 300h is that rear defuser. prefer twin pipe setup on IS250
  19. The 3rd gen GS has to best lexus bargain atm. Congrats such a nice car
  20. Congrats on the purchase. super jealous, but ill be there one day! Im with you on the motoring press, its very biased in this country and almost an opinion of the reviewer himself (who is normally obsessed with diesel power) Saying that, the latest motortrend review from USA of the IS350 i didnt agree with either haha cant believe Lexus wont let you drive it yet give you the keys lol. cant wait to see my first one
  21. Yeah me too, I changed batt straight away with terminals at the back... I was been careful who I called a idiot lol but I can say it ;)

  23. No one in their right mind would, but windscreens as standard have a colour tint (mostly green in this country, but also blue, grey, bronze and what's called "clear solar" which is the purplish/blueish petrol effect you'll often see on Renault's), which will restrict light pass-through more so than a completely clear one, and they also have a layer of laminate between the sheets of glass, which also dampens light passthrough. Hence why there is a tolerance on % of light passthrough ive noticed this. interesting stuff.
