  1. No more rain due until monday according to my forcast :)
  2. Mines spotless atm. Will top it off quickly before i set off. Ive even got news paper on the mats lol. Whats frustrating is one of my fogs has just starting fogging up after fixing the issue over the summer it had to again now grr
  3. Had a super busy week, ive even resorted to paying the car washers to do my car which i hate doing normally but still think its better than the car wash. anyway im planning on setting off about 8am from Shrewsbury so if i find im in the area early enough ill drive up to the truck stop and come back down with everyone. sounds fun.
  4. wow it looks bran new! welcome. any interior shots? do they cost alot over there?
  5. If your in the car journalists trade this is common especially independent ones. Are you?
  6. It did cross my mind to take a pic but didnt sorry guys
  7. love hearing from long term owners of the first gen but totally understandable moving on. Always had a softspot for Volvo's after my Dads friend took me for a spin in his S80 V8 V70s are nice, if youve got the top spec one it'll have that little pop up navi screen? anyway take care
  8. sorry to hear that Chris! :( keep us updated
  9. When I,m just taking it easy through towns etc it never goes above 2000 revs in all gears , just purrs along lol.much better than revvin the arse off a one litre heep lol one of my favorite saying is - thats alot of revs but not alot happening. Like when chavs are ragging it in there s**t box fart cans
  10. My Dad got me into prog rock and i like it. But my favorite band is kraftwerk which is a bit ironic. Dont like all this commercial electronic crap though. Yeah and hiphop, im just all over the show lol. Oh well.
  11. Mac millers new album, tylers new album, also action, MF doom, mike G ibetween atm. prog rock when i wanna chill on a long one. focus? :)
  12. I got all 3 aux belts for £20. Prob 30 mins labour but might charge for a hour. I got it done with cambelt for no charge...
  13. I just like the idea my car is dateless. Some ppl may judge it on its age like my friend recently when i told him what i drove he asked the year i said 2000 and he was half ripping me for driving such a old car but age has nothing to do with how good or bad a car is. I look at a car for what it is. Ppl have different reasons. But noticed to be quite common private plates frustrate ppl i saw it on come dine with me too, absolutely raging
  14. I put my mountain bike on the back seats of my IS200 and it fits nice. i have to take both wheels off which isnt a issue and then i sling them in the boot. Ive got a couple of old bed sheets i use on the seats and put a plastic bag over the derailleur so to unmark the door cards. I bought a bike rack for the boot but it is rubbish and takes for ever to set up, not great when you wanna just have a quick blast down your favorite nearby trail. Hatchbacks are even easier i must say, its just in and out seats folded down....
  15. I have seen gas converted IS. It does effect performance nd will be less. Gas is 70p litre
  16. I agree with noby. It was about average mpg compared to equiv vehicles of its year and your living in a anti car culture in the UK unfortunatly. The bottom line is it can be frustrating for some. Luckily for me fuel economy isnt a priority. But for the latter i couldnt recommend the IS. So get a diesel or a modern petrol.
  17. Unfortunately we live in one of the most anti car countries in the world :@
  18. If you maintain it at the correct intervals replace any wear and tear parts that just comes with owning any car i cant see it having any reliability issues (wouldnt vow for the peugot tho). Saying that parts for a Peugeot would be alot cheaper in terms or wear and tear - suspension, brakes, sensors, bearings etc. however you say you want a small diesel to have lower running costs but in reality how much are you going to save? £30 or 40 quid a month? is it really worth it? especially if you get a car with flat rate tax. just do the math is all im saying. my car bills arent much more compared to when i had a R reg diesel car I think your right about the LPG, the conventional way doeesnt agree with the IS but more complicated (and expensive) systems are available.
  19. You still see it now with ppl in german cars taking the diesel bit (TDI,CDI etc) off to stop you telling they cant afford to run the petrol model even worse they'll put AMG badges on instead or equiv
  20. Shame. My dad was offered a company car but reckons hes better off owning outright
  21. Yeah its hard to find a positive outcome on any car forum which is essentially been designed to aid users with problems. I didnt realise you made the plunge and bought a sportcross. Let us know how you find it in due course :)
  22. Yeh bring back 5th gear , brill that was ,much better than top gear . Everything is always referred to as bein on a track , I haven't got a track for my isf just normal roads . It's mental that programme asif people go into a dealership to spend a fortune and say is it good on a track ha I do find 5th gear favours diesels alot though, but i guess the nation does too :megaangry:
