20% - I would say so. They normally have a minimum of £1000-1500 profit margin on a forecourt price.
But 20% will almost be £3000. Is their profit margin that high?

If you are a cash buyer, go for it. With a revamped IS250 on the horizon any older models will start to see their resale values drop and the dealers know this. You should be able to get a good deal.
Right. Would -20% be too much to ask?

Hi
How much do you think I could haggle a dealer for a 2yr old IS250? On Autotrader it's advertised as ~£15k. Can I knock at least 10% off?
Thanks

Utter twaddle.
If it had very low profile tyres on it.. maybe.....but then that would go for any car.
Drove mine for 9 hours from Scotland to Bournemouth in one day.... never had such a lovely quiet and smooth ride!!
Right. Is yours an SE? How does it cope with bumps and rough roads at lower speeds?

My F-Sport does have quite a bit of road noise (mainly due to crap roads) as it has thin profiles on. Ride is harder than normal due to the sport suspension. Thats the model that a few reviewers reviewed. Well worth it. The other models are softer but where is the fun in that? ;)
I think WhatCar reviewed at least both.

the steering doesn’t offer more feedback and that the pay-off for impressive control over rollercoaster roads is a stiff and unsettled feel around town and on the motorway - especially on the F-Sport models with their lower suspension."

Hi
According to whatcar, the IS suffers from severe road noise and the ride is too stiff. Isn't Lexus supposed to be known for a comfortable, smooth ride?

Haggling A Dealer For Extended Warranty On A S/h

Hi
I'm thinking of getting a 2007 GS450h. I know that the warranty for the hybrid drivetrain is only 5yrs/60k, so it'd have run out already. How likely is it for the dealer to give something like a 2yr warranty along with a -15% discount on the advertised price? Is it too much to ask for? Does the 1yr Approved Used warranty cover hybrid components?
Thanks!
