  1. I'm after a set of caliper stickers - who supplies them? TIA
  2. Would it be any use to have a pdf version of that document to make it a bit more download friendly. I converted it and it has reduced from 846KB to 270KB. Let me know and I'll email it to who ever looks after that sort of stuff.
  3. I assume this is the coupe version to compete with the M.3. Do they intend to make a saloon to replace the IS? they did mention making more variants and how the LF-C is an insight into the future of the IS. If not then they would lose a lot of customers through price - that car isn't going to have a £30k price tag. Gotta love 21" wheels but at over £200 a tyre it makes having fun a bit expensive.
  4. What side skirts are you getting? TTE don't do any for the Lexus in the same style as the front bumper and rear splitter, do they?
  5. Mine came fitted with the Lexus badges, and I got a set of blank ones as spares
  6. Would she have been less upset if you did nothing and next time you passed it happened again injuring someone in the car. You had to put a stop to it to protect your family - that's not foolish or childish.
  7. My car is a bog standard IS200 sport the same as yours, you just need to push the wee button that says TRC OFF. Then put the car full lock and hit the accelerator while slipping the clutch a bit. The car is a real natural.
  8. I needed new tyres and at £130 a corner I figured that I might as well get ever last penny out of them. It was as good a way as any to pass a sunday evening.
  9. Oh dear, this little joke didn't go too good. Try right clicking the link and using Save Target As.... ;)
  10. I've just had my car serviced, and last night there seemed to be alot of smoke coming from the back of it. Anyone know what the problem might be???? See link: www.reallymeansounds.com/images/Lexus.avi *EDIT* Right clivk on link and select "Save Target As..."
  11. I was thinking I shouldn't have to pay at all. The wheels have recieved no knocks. Is it common for such a young car to require tweaking?
  12. yes Colin, the tread depths are as follows: ____ inner/middle/outer FL ____3_____4____ 4 FR____3 ____4_____5 RL____2____1.6____3 RR ___3_____2_____3 FYI the tyres are PZero Rosso's 225/40/18
  13. Hi all, Just back from my first service on my IS, the car is 6 months and 9827miles old. It has been recomended that I have 4 wheel alignment done. Should the car need this after such a short period? I suspect that it may be somthing to do with the car leaving Japan on 17's and having 18's fitted by Lexus GB. Any thoughts/advice? Thanks, Mark
  14. Thanks all for the replies. Could it be year related? Mines late 2003. Or maybe those that don't experience the problem don't indicate on roundabouts :P
  15. Does any body else find that they have to turn their indicators off themselves on anything but a full 90 degree turn? Every time I go through a roundabout and indicate, the indicator remains on....which can be a bit embarassing as my steering wheel blocks the light on the dash. Cheers.
  16. I've got the PZero Rossos atm and cannot say a bad word about them, the are an awsome tyre. Jaguar, Ferrari and Porche all use them as their tyre of choice on new cars.
  17. Yeah, I think you are right...my late 03 model (Blue) came with the darker rear lights, but doesn't have the new darker headlamps of the 04 model.
  18. Yes tyre pressure is the same for the 18's Mine came from lexus with 18s and there is a small sticker on the 17" page that states "For 18 x 7 1/2J wheel with 225/40 ZR18 tire use tire pressures and wheel torque below." Vehicle load up to four occupants: Front 33psi Rear 33psi Vehicle loaded up to capacity weight: Front 36psi Rear 36psi The recommended tyre pressures increase if you intend on traveling at speed in excess of 100MPH - but being a responsible person you wont want to know them :P
  19. The car is probably slower because it only has 2K on the clock, I noticed mine started to improve once I had about 5K on it.
  20. How much torque is alot of torque?
  21. Mine does :) and I know it's just a TTE kit but there is a very small 'sport' emblem laid into the front bumber. - maybe that's why it's been described as a sport kit. But then the spoiler doesn't sound right...so maybe not.
  22. I've got Pirelli PZeros on mine, They are excellent. They are standard kit on cars like Ferarri...which is reasurring to know. Only down side is that they are £150 a corner.
  23. The handbook states that some temporary condensation is normal from time to time because of the temperature difference between the inside of the headlight and the outside. But it shouldn't be there all the time.
  24. I think it's like that for safety, so if you press the brake you wont catch the accelerator and cause the car to speed up...if you know what I mean.
  25. They story says "The IS will be the first Lexus BASED on the more modern and attractive LF-S design." It doesn't actually say it will look like that. Only time will tell eh?!
