  1. Steve- Its going to be new rings and its not even Fiber Optics, its Cold Cathode Tubing which is a very bright Xenon looking blue.

I will have the UK compatible kits in hand next week but I need to leave the country for a few days and will be back April 9th.

Sounds good to me. We use alot of cold cathode lighting in our demo cars and installs...

    look at these few!

I can see the cathode rings being huge success myself.

  2. Hey Am..... you sure your not running on Carbs!!!!

    lmao!

    No :(

If i drive it like a granny in a civic then it might do 27-28mpg thats like gear change upto 3,000rpm and not a rpm higher!

Hopefully my demo van will be finished before too long.. which means i can drive that around 50mpg :D with 160dBs worth of bass to go with it :zee:

Then i'll start work on the 'tezzas ICE ;)

Scott.. There should be a small box just above the wheel well to the right.. it will be there.. if not then you've been robbed

    Am.

  3. I need to check mine out..

Would it be as easy as that, change the disc and volia! English/UK spec?

Yep mines thirsty... i did 260miles on my last tank of Optimax... i'm back on unleaded now, no point spending money on fuel when clearly its juicing it up too much lol

I've got induction kit and exhaust planned too.. *** knows what that will do to fuel ecconmy lol

  4. Congrats on the 'tezza :D top choice.. i've had mine for lil over 2 months and its best car i've owned to date :)

Well i hope you know the Sat nav won't work unless its been converted to UK spec.

I wish i could convert mine!

  5. Right buddy, Try straying the WD-40 just on to the belt and see if the noise stops. If so that belt probably needs replacing....Under a tenner.

Yeah just tried that, it stopped then after a while it started again!

Sounds like all the belts stopped after some WD-40.. any part no. on them. e-mail me a price if you have any replacements :)

Clutch one isn't too bad can live with it tbh.. i reckon u won't here it once an induction kits fitted :D

  6. When i start my car in the mornings theres a sqeaky sound. Yesterday morning i used some WD-40 which i sprayed onto the belt pulleys, noise went away. This morning it was the same again..

    What does this mean?

Another sqeaky noise comes from the gearbox. If i press the clutch pedal down about 5mm it stops, its very faint sound but its there.

    Any ideas?

I seem to be confusing some of the members here with my strange problems

Best not to get too personal with my problems then :P

    Thanks,

    Am.

  7. The car has been in the country for 3 years prior to me owning it. The previous owner done no mods at all since he bought it brand spanking new from Japan showroom direct!. I asked Option Motorsport when they had the car if it was chipped, they found no evidence or anything irregular that showed up on there machine.

  8. Small test done today.

    same route, 37miles -

test A drive like a total looney throughout the gears - 21mpg

    test B drive changing gear upto 3,000rpm - 28mpg !!

So there we have it altezzas aren't very fuel efficent over 3,000rpm !

    :)

  9. They mentioned a temperature sensor which they recommend I change to IS200 one which could improve consumption by 10-20% he claimed..

They checked everything.. but found zippo fault after 1hr 1/2 of fault finding..

They did tell me mine was the best example Altezza they had seen :)

  10. Update!

Just come back from Option Motorsport. They tested and checked everything on the car, compression tests, emissions, ecu - no faults!

Owner nana agreed with me its fuel consumption is poor, but asked me to wait another month to see if it gets worse. or indeed something packs up..

So i guess its a wait and seen and keep monitoring mpg..

    Am.

  11. :)

I've seen it said many times with coilovers 'you get what you paid for' !

I just don't want to run it too low and have springy boppy ride.. so i assume i need damper and body to be pretty short to allow for this. I'm looking for kits.. looking across the pond (US) right now.. HKS and Tanabe.
