Firstly the Altezza is alot more fun to drive than the IS200, more power and the sound of the engine is to DIE for!!!

Worry about insurance first, get a quote see how it fizzles out, it might be cheaper than the IS200 with a s/c, which is thereabouts the same as a Altezza for performance.

Leathers aren't really an issue, i picked up a mint set from eBay for £350!!

Maintenance is not a biggie, but you are dealing with a rarer car than the IS200 but Toyota garage are able to get most of the parts.

I have no regrets buying my Altezza , except the steep insurance!!!!

How come you are paying so much for insurance?? My insurance is with Adrian Flux and I am paying £680 everything declared. I do have full no claims and am 26 yrs old on an essex postcode. Dont know why you are getting quoted over double what I'm paying.

The night time picture wheels are the new ones, not sure if you mean those, but I think they are Autocouture Magnifique 2-pc 19x9 and 19x10, about 322,000 Yen (£1,700)

For the altezza i am paying £1300 :tsktsk:

I had few ppl ask me why not insure it as a IS200 as there ain't no diff... Problem is, if u have an accident your almost definatley 'fcuked'

I know people who do it, and get away with it.. but its hardly insurance for yourself when your bombing about!

Another option is to put it on your dads name so you are 2nd named driver... This will be my approach as £1300 is just plain STTOOOOOOOPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure, but worth giving them a call. But they seem to be next best thing to a TRD for daily use imo.

4ltr V10 beast.. Gonna have SILLY system (over 20kw and around 9x 15s, 3 alts, 14 batts)

But then... need something to be fappin fast! if the Tezza doesn't bite the bullet after the to be complete mods ;) Wouldn't mind a TVR :)

They are tinted with a spray tint, pretty sure there only available in clear and the obvious red. I think Maz' has his clear fogs smoked.
