  1. This Lexus UK page offers a range of past brochures for models inc. the GS marque. I think it only goes back to model year 2008 but that should give you a good indication of the differences between SE and SE-L. Scroll down to the 'past brochures' area and use the drop down http://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/your-lexus/#/Introduction hth M
  2. Me and swmbo took the SC430 to a Mercedes Dealer, just to show them.................... :)
  3. 8. squeeze the old filter to remove it, and insert new filter with the up arrow up! OEM replacement filter new filter in housing 9. replace filter housing making sure that both clips 'click into place 10.refit door. Firstly put the door back into position with the gap at the base. Once in position push the door downwards (direction of arrow) so that it returns to its original placing. 11. thus:
  4. see pic for the gap that appears. OK that is the most difficult part done. Where the red arrow is insert a finger and pull the door GENTLY towards you so it moves over and down and then pull out 5. remove door and place to one side 6. you can now see the filter housing with a push in clip either side 7. push each clip in and pull the housing up; take hold and gently pull out towards you housing removed - note the up arrow which matches an arrow on your new filter
  5. Changed the pollen filter on my GS450h today and took some pics in case it helps other members. If nothing else it can save you £xx paying a dealer.... It is a very simple and straightforward job, only requiring care and heeding the very first step so you don't break the system - if you don't follow step 1 to the letter then you will damage the filter cover door which is an expensive and awkward fix 1. turn engine on, switch aircon to recirc only so that the only button lit is the recirc one: Then turn off engine 2. open the glovebox, empty of all 'detritus' and take a firm hold on the shelf and shelf support in the lower centre (all one assembly) and gently pull out of the glove box and place to one side 3. you will then see the filter door cover (scuse the muck, needs a good hoovering) 4. push up vertically all the way along the top edge of the door until a gap apppears at the base cont. below
  6. 60 plate cars did get a mild facelift; usb in/hard disc sat nav/bumper style tweak. There may be others but these are the ones I know hth ps smooth? oh yes
  7. Congratulations. If you're anything like me you'll still be smiling four months in.....for me the car is 'stupidly fast' and I mean that in praise. The car gives me so much confidence when overtaking and making progress, the sport and power settings turn B roads into enjoyable challenges, and the rest of the time it is quiet as a mouse and very relaxing. A full set of new tyres have made the ride and quietness even better.......... Enjoy your driving M
  8. Drove it from St Neots to Thetford and back, roof down, basking in glorious sunshine with a V8 soundtrack....
  9. is this then of any interest given your concerns? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-GS-450H-SE-L-with-16-mth-Lexus-Warranty-/291486936952?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43ddf9af78 hth M
