I had a near miss today ， I have a Saab 95 for work ， I could smell burning oil for the last few days but ， time was not on my side untill today ， looked underneath ， hmm oil pan maybe untill futher investigating lead me to the auto sum nut loose as he'll ， just about to fall off ， that would have been that. RE THE LS 430 ， used auto box with warranty is your best bet if your is caput.

It might be a idea to talk to a Lexus dealer， you might be lucky if it is common enough. I will probably require a full Diagnosis I wish you luck ， electric s are a pain in the harness

I just changed the fluid on a Saab 95 , 80000 miles on the clock it was very dark ， but so far the box is ok I'll do another in a weeks time . Only a auto trans specialist will know what the outcome will be ， never had any problems on my 2 LS400s ， asin make some Lexus boxes and saab ， volvo and renault ， so check there forums you never know

This does not sound good ， you should be able to get a good second hand one ， a recone can be very expensive.

The only way i could see to fix this was to put a slightly smaller but tight pipe into the brocken pipe ans the hole with loads of real steal.

Left the battery charger on the car put the bonnet down and it snapped the coolant hose going into the air box in a place thats a pain to put right as it snapped at the base plate so no grip , i dint want to have to replace the whole unit . But when its all back together how do i bleed it .

Hi guys my 2000 REG LS 400 that has been laid up for a while is reving to 1500- 2000 revs untill i put it into gear , stick it in neutral back up , park back up . Any ideas

Hi guys need help , my 00 LS400 has been sitting up for about six months , started her up to day ****** coolant from what i can see is mid engine , i did have the trottle body off, am i missing something that cant see , starts on the button but water really comming out.

Ok so for timming belt kit , blue print do a kit , but you should try alibaba or equivalent. As for a mechanic , a good Toyota mech should be ok .

If you go onto the American LS400 forums their is plenty of info , they have direct replacements of far better quality and sound.

Whats the best year Ls430 , equipment etc .promised myself i would not buy another car but a 4x4 , importing a Lx is so expensive , dont never did like the look of the rx , so i will get another Ls to go with our 400s .when not sure but it will arrive , 2001 -2002s are going for mrk4 Ls400 money so i am thinking 2004/5 ?.your taughts will be appriciated..
