  1. The pulley is used on other models..IS--SC--SUPRA....try a breaker?
  2. Poking my nose in, there are overhaul kits available from lexus for LS 400 so there is likely to be the same for other models. Prices not too silly. A good independant can O/H them, ask around, tyres as previously stated are available at all prices and quality.
  3. Gauge sender info from w/shop manual: Water temp. 50 deg.c [122f] resistance approx 249 ohms " " 115deg c [239f] " " 28 ohms
  4. Replace all the blown fuses, then check the forums here and the USA site for info on the dashlighting problem, popular fault, widely covered
  5. Also try looking inside the distributor caps for 'tracking' or damp or general wear...
  6. They should be renamed 'polution causing lanes', many times you can see ahead the left turn you want to make, but daren't go into a mostly empty bus lane. You sit there along with hundreds of others wasting fuel and making polution. Another stupid idea that failed politicians and the like come up to keep a fat salary and pension. They rip us off with fuel tax and so called road tax and then take away a huge chunk of road that we are paying to drive on!
  7. Also can we ask users of the info to report back if it helped and not just grab the knowledge and clear off! The more info we get from all, the more money we will save! Happy new year to all!!
  8. As above check Ebay, also you should gets bags of info if you log on to the USA OWNERS CLUB
  9. Usually diffs start to whine on drive or overun when worn, and if lacking oil will get noisier and noisier before failing. If you have a steady knock I would look at the driveshafts first before the diff.
  10. If you can get some cheap, wash it with IPA [isopropyl alcohol] some times called isopropanol This is a clean solvent, leaving little or no residue and won't melt anything plastic. Blow it clean with an airline after to be sure it all evaporated, before use. TRY TOO KEEP IT AWAY FROM THE BEARINGS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, YOU DON'T WANT TO WASH THE LUBRICANTS OUT!
  11. A merry Christmas to you too...and everbody else..
  12. I thought if you didn't send the new keepers name when selling you were still responsible for the vehicle. In this case the leasing company, or am I missing something here?
  13. This Christmas dashboard lighting thing has happened to me on a couple of cars and it was always low battery voltage. Please post results after professional diagnosis..
  14. I was thinking this might save a bit of horse power and fuel after seeing the standard fan runs quite fast even from a minus 3 degree cold start. Has anyone done this...?
  15. before you throw a lot of money at it, try another battery, a good one fully charged
  16. If its like mine the headlight wash only works with the windscreen wipers on. The rest of it,worry about it next summer. If key fob fails, live without it or pay, i live without it!
  17. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, saying something like that!!Brian :) It's called leadfoot syndrome, very painful on the wallet..
  18. The usual rip off Britain..If every body has reduced their consumption of gas , say, new boiler being careful with heating etc, less gas being used, therefore they will have to put the price up to maintain greedy profit. Sell less charge more, nice! Likewise electric, if every body cuts down reducing profit margins, hike the price up. If Someone invents a car that runs on water do you think you will benefit, dream on,water will cost the same as petrol. If VAT is going up,we all have to tighten our belts, loss of jobs, no money for this, no money for that etc, how can we lend Ireland 12 billion Pounds ?
  19. LOL yes, I think (or at least hope!) that's what he meant. On the first picture of your video you gan see a cross head screw at the bottom of the hub, this tightens it up, but as previusly said the wheel nuts or bolts secure it tight. As previous posts, remove it and look inside, also check pad wear is even on both sides if not one may be rubbing. [partly seized]
