just a point on the tyres prior to fitting them ( they were concave by the way)that was the reason for changing them it had Bridgestone Potensa on rear were really concave on the tread fronts was not as bad i changed the rears on advice from fellow members on here but after a few miles the steering wheel was slightly off10 to 4 i thought that maybe the rear alignment was out . Anyway i decided to change the fronts before getting it tracked however an article i read on the US forum said it could be the EPS required syncing I have not heard of this before and i suspect some of our fellow members may know it too. The procedure according to one gent was get the vehicle in straight ahead position then with engine running turn steering Left to stop then right to full right stop then left again to left stop then back to centre Lo and behold the steering was then spot on never pulled right or left and there seems to be better feedback from the steering well pleased but as i said i am sure some members know this but for those that dont try it you maybe suprised. yes dave i had exactly the same problem with mine got the car home on the saturday didnt start it on the sunday as it was 2 pints and dinner at local club. I went to start it on the monday to go into town but battery was flat as pancake i contacted tonbridge wells who was very apolagetic as i tried when i bought the car to specifficaly check that the 12 v battery was in order and was assured that it was but it was not. but the outcome was ok as they told me to go to lexus hull and they will fit me a new battery so all was well the moral is if these cars are left on forecourt and the battery goes flat as you say the battery is toast buyers beware. It also happened on the gs i bought at sidcup but they changed battery on the spot for me Hope car running ok apart from yr battery problem. Robert

Well I too am finding things out about this Model i went out this evening and on my way back there was a small crowd of teenagers acting goat at the side of the road i was watching them as they didnt seem to be taking much notice suddenly one ran into the road laughing i was instantly aware of an orange light on the dash and i braked hard but i swear i am sure the brakes were on before my foot hit the brakes and the car stopped suddenly what a heart stopper that was i got the abuse from them but no one was hurt Robert

indeed it is Just as a rider when i bought the car I had my trusty tyre gauge with me and it showed 4mm rears and 5 fronts i did ask at the time it wont be long till it needs new tyres can you change them as goodwill i got a firm no as the tyres are legal I didnt know at the time about the Concave tread till i took it to the Tyre Depot at home As i said i thought the tyres were just a noisy brand and i would replace them before winter set in. but i have now ordered the rears

Yes Chris as an afterthought i did conclude that that may be the cause as it gets a bit faster 70 ish it like an Helicopter rotor and like a slapping noise I suppose there will be a void in the tyre where the air gets through I did ask the lad at the Tyre depot if i Should reinflate them higher but he said Catagorically No The Tyres are Bridgestone Potensa EA33

Decided to trade in my 14 450h Premier for a 18 Gs450 Premier running very well but tyres are a bit noisy they are Bridestone Potenza the car had been stood awhile at Lexus Tonbridge wells so i took it to my local Tyre depot . They said the tyres are showing signs of perishing(maybe with it being stood) but the lad said when he rubbed hand over tyre the back tyres were concaved said at some time they have been over inflated and only running on the out sides of the tyre said i exoect that s why they noisy. As any one experienced this before because they are noisy.

Chris you are right it blinks 3 times when it enters Iniialising mode I have not had to do it on mine as yet but on my previous 2010 mk3 it said INITIAL on speedo but the OP said pressing button made no diference maybe he didnt get to the 3 blink mode i would think that if the TPS light is on a tyre is down and system working correct if triangle is on there is malfunction Just my 2 p worth

You have to keep it pressed till it says Initilising then leave it to do its job you only have the tyre light on so a wheel is below the set prssure if it was a fault with a sensor triangle would be on as well as john said get all the tyres inflated to the pressure you want then go through the initalising proccedure Ign on Press button till INITALISING comes on dash then leave it alone till it goes out im not 100% sure if you press again but it tells you in book HTH Robert

As it happened I was going to have a new set of Goodyear Asymmetric 5s fitted by a tyre outfit I’d used before - and saw they were Agents for Alloygator. So a deal was struck! Len I had these on my last gs450 mk3 and they were super quiet but on the mk4 i have Dunlops and they are no were near as quiet How are you finding them Robert
