Hi all Just a quick question I am running my IPhone 6 through bluetooth as i have Camera Alert on the phone so if i am in a strange place i get camera warnings My Car is 2010 450 SE L In the Manual it shows picture of screen with BT and it shows that Albums can be changed but on my display that switch is not visible (if i have it on USB i can change albums and Songs) It does say in the manual not all features are utilised with different devices THe music on the phone is apples AAC so i dont know if this as anything to do with it TIA Robert

Lee those clips down side are one use only in so much as when they fitted you cant get them off again without breaking them the top ones are stuck on so you could possibly reuse them if you restuck them I was just saying if you try to take them off from bottom up they will break but top to bottom you can see the little tongue thingy that goes into the clip and release it without breaking the clip. And as Les said it was worth it for the tech to do it for 20 which was a result but it was from the toyota garage im sure Lexus would have doubled that Robert

Lee Down the rear window there are 5 special clips that are one use only 6 on the top over the doors then 4 +1 down the front screen the first one being handed the rest fit on both sides the top ones are stuck on with the tape built on to them but the rear window and screen ones fit onto a special clip on a pop rivet so that part will be alright these clips shove on to this collar and lock on and being plastic they break on removal mine was same as yours not as bad but was down front screeen i took it to my local toyota dealer and after ordering clips they were 2 quid each fittd them while i watched in less than 10 minutes i thought i could have done that this is how it should be according to the lad work from over doors and work back releasing the clips as these come of easy he did it with his fingers when you get to the clips down the window you need the tool to release the moulding out of the clip working down be careful with the moulding its stainless steel with vynil wrap on it it is not painted however if you can see the clip that is broken just change it but bear in mind its one use get them from the dealers and you will see straight away how they fit refitting you work back from the bottom one to the top to test this i took of my pass side one useing his method and never broke one and it went back perfect they charged me 20 quid to fit them 10 min job i do not jest hope that helps you Lee Robert

Hi i too wanted that feature at my last service i asked them to turn it on tech did it in about 2 mins no charge they said it was altered because some people complained that the windows opened themselves after locking, mine as never done it once its a lovely feature .

Have you tried contacting Lexus UK most times if you have anything done they contact you and ask for your opinion Ill wager if you complain someone will contact you from the dealership.

Just had the car polished by mobile Valeter as made a very good job quite pleased have had the car just 12 month and still amazes me whenever i go out in it

Further update Got scuttle done finally after a discussion with fitter and service manager they looked like they were stumped anyway the fitted it and squuek and wind noise gone i was a bit miffed how they did it but its done The Gel pad for the rain sensor had them stumped another fitter went past and he said have you fitted one of these yes said he and did it went out thought as it was drizzling rain very sensetive good thought i. rained all way home so wipers on got up next day stalk still on auto wipers wiped 3 times then once every 6 secs even tho it was not raining i turned the senor right down it then went to every 25 seconds it seems it as somehow changed to the intermittent wipe like on the base models can they be reprogrammed to work or has a fault occurred mind i am ringing dealer this morning Robert Carl911 pm sent

Update on the wind noise I bit the bullet and took it to the dealer' as it was getting worse maybe from me pushing and shoving on the scuttle this is what they found The forward scuttle clips (that are hidden) all broken the clips that fit under the screen to lock the seal either broken or not installed correct making the gap between seal and glass ineffective and causing squeek. the bottom clip of the body window moulding broke as it is a once only fit ( said it may have been siliconed in position) but is loose that needs replacing both sides The wing /bonnet seal not clipped in correctly both sides The wiper malfunction is either No Tape on screen or gel pad not fitted correctly I am taking it in on monday to have it sorted but scuttle is £220 (gulp) plus other bits but said they were minimal plus the labour Whoever put the screeen in surely didnt know how to fit the Screen it is called Shatterprufe a South African firm but by all accounts are suppose to be good quality But....... was fitted by Auto wind*********** Awww well Lexus motoring Robert

Maybe you have checked are you sure 12v battery is fully charged they run down very quick and can still show 12/13 volts but not enough to generate enough to power the start up ecu's i had same problem when i had a dash cam fitted doors open interior lights on etc fitter said we will just charge battery then see he came back next day and it was away

update on the wind noise After a lot of digging round ( thanks to Britprius on another topic) i found the following The scuttle were the wiper shafts comes through is a bit loose in asmuch as i can move it laterely about 1/4 of inch either way and the rubber seal just left of pass wiper shaft is raised above screen, on both sides of the screen the side moulding that runs from boot over roof down screen to wing at the bottom can also be moved as though a clip is not fitted or broke (Ive read somewhere that the clips are one use only) its same on both sides and also there is a clip hole at back of inverter that is missing its only small half inch long by eighth high the screen looks perfect no distortion but doesnt say Lexus on it it says Solarlux and some foreign writing And ShatterPrufe (thats how its spelt) So i suspect its had a screen in before i bought it my question is Can i get the clips and can it be reinstalled (Scuttle and side mouldings) without taking out the screen as it dosent look like its a Cheapo one also the auto wipers are not as sensitive as i would have hoped i have heard something about a gel pad . And as i said before around the b roads etc there is no wind intrusion but if i get upto around 70/80 i can start to hear it my previous gs300 was whisper quiet wind wise TIA Robert

Hi John I have had a look under bonnet and have found that the clip holding skuttle at back of inverter thingy is not there the hole is half inch long by 1 eighth high so i assume it should have some sort of clip in and it can move a little horizontal (the skuttle) but just between the wippers were the air intake is the seal is away from the glass i know the glass will be sealed but i get a wind type noise in front of dash were the centre vents are so was wondering if its turbulence on the seal that i can hear. I checked the screen and it doesnt say Lexus on it Just solar??????? ( something) and Laminated so it looks like its had a new screen in its Lifetime i think Robert

John Could you elaborate on the squeaking under bonnet as sometimes i seem to get some sort of squeak every now and then from there I have not put any felt on inside between Dash and Window as i dont think its that I was over moon when i got it as it had no rattles/sqieaks whatsover and this only happens occasionaly unlike my gs 300 that had felt, full length of dash it did cure it mind I have had a cursuray look and cant seem to see what would squeak TIA Robert

will you be taking it back to dealer john if they broke they should fix it

Alan First have you got the DAB Module installed As mine is a 2010 it may be different on mine i put it into Tune mode then Update and away it goes but you wont know what stations you hav and on mine till i turn the File/Tune Knob on the radio then I can put each station onto the Station list i have also got it set to auto tune in case it needs to retune but as you have a later model yours may be different so a vist to dealer maybe your best bet unless someone can chip in Along Display I Have PTY TEXT UPDATE on right side Tune TimeShift and another which i cant recall and of course the 6 presets Robert

Must say that mine as the parking lines but the switch for mine is on the right side of the display
