Rich In my experience i found if shuddering at 50mph its usualy front 70 mph is usually rear so i suspect if its coming in around 70s its the rear when i purchased mine ( silly of me I Know I didnt Do any fast driving on the Test drive) when it got to 60 70 it was like i was driving on 50 pence peices but the car had been on the court for must be 6 month before i bought it the tyres may have deformed while stood.
  2. Yes Totaly agree on the tyres I had virtually same problem with mine when i purchased it. I changed them to goodyear Eagles Never looked back now on rear replacements still Eagles and found them Brilliant and Quiet.

There as been lots of discussions about TPMS sensors plenty on Our friemds on Club Lexus in the states and i dont think anyone as managed to get that light to stay off but I do believe the ECU for it If I recall correct is under the Gear change consul but as others have said i dont think i would mess with it, however i wish you luck on it i think i would bite the bullet and get them changed.

Hi Mate i have been on Hols this week yes i got a lad at Burton on trent to fit me a CarPlay unit and have to say it is working flawlesly I am not sure of the make but he said it was a new Solution. It goes through theBluetooth as opposed to the AUX and performs very well it went completely behind the radio took about 20 mins to fit . They have not completely mastered the mouse but it took me no time at all to master it. I will PM you his number he may be able to send you one if thats what you want of course and get someone or yourself to fit it. I think i may violate the rules if i give it out publicly I can certainly vouch for the system it as completly modernised the car. Robert

  7. yes sounds very much like the 12v battery as the car would not have started if the hybrid battery was flat. Herbie is spot on

David I thought it may be something like that I have just been out to my car to check on the climate Settings Because i too thought that as got to be the problem if you cannot change the Temp so you beat me to it. Anyway i am glad you got it sorted but you ought to have a look at the climate settings on that page there is a wealth of options ( if you have 3 Zone and Nano) Robert
  9. Hi david As the Fitters Diagnosis confirmed that the AC Compressor as failed because you are not getting the temperature range. I think i would get someone to check the blend and temperature flap motors the may be out of sync. Lexus can use Techstream to reset the positions of the flap controls I am not saying it definatly that its that but you ought to rule out that first it would be not very good if you forked out for a compressor and it was the blend valve.   10. I too found if i have my hearing aid in the wind noise is louder but its not too bad normaly .
  11. Well I kept at it and was in comms with Samantha (a lovely girl) who got the Media Department to ring me who confirmed it had been discontinued to my model. He went onto say he was sorry but neither you or our department knew that they were turnig it off said we have numerous complaints and Lexus Japan or Lexus EU should have informed us and customers but they have not. I have been with lexus since 2009 and i think they now have too many models and are diluting the brand there used to be a certain amount of a feeling that you had an exclusive model not anymore as the bean counters have moved in. I have had a offer of a free next Service, and a apology so i will take that and i am getting on very well with the CarPlay gizmo I had Fitted not the result i wanted but it will have to do.
  12. Yes Ronnie I too noticed it But Prior to it going belly up i had it working perfectly . it was a faff to get it up and running but i persevered and it all came together. But as you rightly said the last update sent it into a spiral and is no longer working. Lexus UK is investigating after I wrote To Mr Chris Hayes ( I think that is name) I have Samantha on my case but the CarPlay unit as worked flawlessly so i may resign it to the bin

HI All I finaly resolved the problem (well sort of) i took the advice of the rep at Lexus Hull and had car Play fitted to my GS and my initial thoughts are that it is Brilliant I wish i had done it ages ago . The gent who fitted it made a really good neat and tidy installation so i shall be putting it through its paces over the next few weeks.
  14. I must thank you all for the replies but i have now found out the Problem I have used Lexus Connect for years now and found it a very useful System albeit a little clunky and a faff to set up. A brief synopsis of what it did i use the word "did", It would tell me on the System any Breakdowns,Accidents Roadworks , I could see a Picture of my Destination as i neared it, I could access uptodate parking spaces in car parks, weather at the destination,Petrol Prices all uptodate and various other things. I can still plan a route on my PC or the Lexus Link app and it will send it to the Car as a Stored Route. Then suddenly all this stopped working and constantly on the screen it would Say " Connection Refused", Your Subscription as Expired Contact Lexus.Eu this was coming up constantly i did eventualy concede that that was because there was some incident and it was trying to tell me but couldnt Hence the Message. I decided to go to Lexus Sheffield but they were scratching their heads and told me to contact Lexus UK which i did but have not had a reply. A week or so later i was visiting my daughter at Hull so i decided to call in to lexus and they told me straight away(i do believe They have had complaints too) The Gent said it is something to do with data protection and they have dropped the Connect System from Cars with the Mouse Controller he did say it was a bummer as hisUX as also stopped working and told me to ring Lexus UK i did But Phone num unobtainable He then said if you think its not right trade your Immaculate GS 450 for a ES you can imagine my responce is final word was to get someone to fit me apple car play thats what he is going to do Maybe this is a Topic for our Colin Robert

Hi Has anyone noticed that the Lexus Connect as stopped working and my screen is saying "Your Subscription as Expired Contact Lexus.eu to subscribe" I have used this all the time i have had car and previous model I know there is Lexus Connect + but that is not available for my car MY18 and is free and well documented in the Owners Hand Book I could use What , Where on the sat nav with ease and also plan route on PC or phone and it would download to car I think it is a bit childish of Lexus to discontinue it on a 18 and that would even include MY21 when the Lexus Connect+ came out. The point i am making as anyone else noticed this thanks Robert

Richard I saw the the Video that is what happend to me exactly, its the battery I bought my car 3 years ago from tunbridge wells I live in yorkshire the car had been on the forecourt 3 months I picked the car up on the saturday and the car never moved till Monday. Thats when i had the sound Tunbridge wells where ok the contacted Lexus Hull and told me to take it there and they would fit it. The fitter told me that clicking is the relay that as not got enough voltage to set the startup proccedure in motion I have not had a problem since as John as remarked those batteries last a long time if they are kept charged but if you let them run down they will fail and let you down. Just one point have you checked that the Battery conections are clean and tight.

Hazel Have a look under your waterpump and see if you can See any Pink crud under the Pump my MK3 a few years ago Had exact same problem and it was the water pump leaking I dont think your Head Gasket as gone. You may need one of those small mirror type Pens to see it but i will wager its that I had 2 mk3s from 2010 to 2013 and i had to change both pumps (well lexus did) but they changed design after MY 2010 If you look on the US site its full of Problems with water pumps on the Mk 3 Robert
