  1. May be that in first miles of use of new car you made strong braking, vitrifying surface of pads. Unluckily if this occurred there is no solution (at least for next thousands of miles), except changing pads and avoiding hard braking on next 100 miles after substitution.
  2. Consider also that new gen. of GS450h, after 2012, have better mpg compared to 3rd gen GS.
  3. May be it' s related to a sw update to do, try searching in forum about the topic.
  4. On my GS folders are read starting in alphabetical order, but if a folder has subfolders they are read before starting another folder in the list. Besides, you can ask by voice to listen a title or a artist, provided that the mp3 files are recorded with right description. All this is written in user manual of navi-multimedia system, and not so practical indeed, because you can have on display only one folder and one title, so if, for instance you are on "A" folder and like to listen "M" folder you need to browse with arrow all the folders between A and M. Giving voice command may be easier , you say "Play artist xxx" , or "play song yyyy" , but I don't the exact way to send a command in english as I speak another language. For a list of command you can ask "help" and read all the list on display.
  5. The best way to find a solution is to give a look of how music titles are stored in GS... Not so easy.
  6. On my GS I had only to pair phone in BT giving all permissions (but I use android).

  8. Optimum settings are largely subjective, in my GS I put treble a bit under max, mid slighly over center and bass too, but it's just my preference. Remember to regulate them for each source separately.
  9. Yes, I love my GS , the stereo is ML with 17 speakers, very good, but for what I know also the standard one works well. Remember to regulate settings, bass, mid, treble for each audio source, they are separate.
  10. Yes, if you don't like a stiffer drive, you can leave in SPORT mode that acts only on throttle response. Adaptive suspension works in "adaptive" way, so all sub systems act together for best driving, so , for instance , dampening is different if you drive in motorways or in mountain routes. The difference is only in SPORT+ mode where comfort is less important than having some fun "running". Of course for a real sport driving, a GS 450h FSport is the choice, where you can have also rear steering wheels and all the power you need to destroy your driving licence :) About VDIM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qblnWq79grg
  11. RC is a step up compared to IS, also in price. If you like coupé and don't need to travel in 4 , go for RC; if you need more space for passengers better IS.
  12. Here I am, my GS300h is a Premier model with 19" rims. 1: Even with low profile tyres ride is good, it gets firmer in SPORT+ mode where dampers are set for best sport performance and steering is harder too; in SPORT mode (not +) you have only a better throttle response. 2: Yes, but don' t expect the power of a 450h with 120 HP more. 3: Yes, but not the way reviews talk about: it is the different way how hybrid eCVT works, with engine at high steady revs till you ask all the power, and low noise and revs when you need no more. GS is one of the best silenced car you can choose. 4: more than you can imagine, I wrote much about this, imagine to have same mpg of a similar diesel car or better. 5: Good colour combo, my GS has more classic colours, dark grey and tobacco interiors, but for a F Sport version your choice is sportier.
  13. The S.H.I.E.L.D people drive Lexus, and they are not "bad" :)
  14. "It all depends what the town is what distance you are doing etc. " Sure! My answer was for a trip around town of more than 5 minutes, if you start the car to go in a place you can reach easily walking and engine can't reach working temperature mpg rise very much, like any other car. The reason because hybrid cars have good mpg in city is the energy recovery they have at every (light) braking, and thermal engine totally off at every slowing down at city speed.
  15. With a little practice you can reach more than 55, but I admit it's rather boring and not relaxing, driving in a natural way avoiding fast acceleration and hard braking like a good driver does, 45 is normal. When driving in town with no care for limits and licence, I never scored under 30.
  16. Updating maps on Lexus premium navigation system with HDD is quite complicate, as it's not sufficient to buy a DVD with maps, but to avoid copying there is a code registration, and the code has to be generated from navy system number. Maps are from Navteq. Toyota_HDD_Navi_map_update_AIM_002_769_0_PZ445_HD332_0D.pdf
  17. Still trying to have an update in my GS300h with same navi system, but forget to have mirroring of cell phone. In Lexus (and Toyota also) are making a mess with updates.
  18. If wear occurred in not a uniform way I would check alignment of tyres, 10000 miles are too few to need change.
  19. Investigate if sw update has been made, but with your symptoms I have doubts about, as a typical vibration occurred on my GS only at specific conditions and speed, and not randomly.
