  1. Manual 200's are slightly quicker on paper and have a slightly better mpg. That's it :)
  2. The belts at the front of your engine bay. A/C belt, power steering belt, alternator belt are your serpentine/drive belts. I think this is an American term. We call them Auxillary belts or just belts lol :)
  3. Speak to Raymond. He has factory fitted sensors. See if he can give you a part number as I know he has all the paperwork relating to it :)
  4. Don't know if it's the same but there was a thread on the LS forum where he just changed the heater element in the seat.
  5. Only you can provide us with this information. Have a look through the paperwork of the car to see if there's any instructions on parking sensors. Failing that Lexus will be able to confirm for you if their factory fitted or aftermarket
  6. Yeah I know the drivers side is a bit worn but the passenger mat is like brand new! :)
  7. Prices have hit rock bottom round my way! Happy days!! :) :)
  8. I got done for this in my old BMW. The window has to let a certain % of natural daylight through and as you say the old bill have an instrument to measure this. I got pulled on my way home one night. Mine failed and he made me pick at the film and teat a whole strip off! had to drive around for a couple of days with the windows looking like a zebra!
  9. Just got these from one of those auction sites on tinterweb. Obviously (very) used but for £6 and free delivery I'm very happy! I asked the dealer about branded mats and the set was £89.99! Ouch!
  10. Hi and welcome to LOC. The only question I can answer is that is200 never came with tv's in headrests as standard.
  11. I'm a little bit jealous every time I see a blue one!
  12. Lol a lot! Hope you got some free biscuits as well ;)
  13. I wonder why the previous owner decided against a cambelt change? Seems a bit daft! Can't believe that. Are you getting new spark plugs? Not part of a service, costs extra on top from dealer. I'm thinking if the previous owner chose not to change the cambelt even tho I'm sure the dealer would have advised to, they might have said no to plugs as well meaning yours could be the original still? Plus yours are due even if they did change them. Every 60k my book says even tho iridium are meant to last 100k.
  14. You can get better than 20mpg but not much better. On long journeys (motorway) I can average around 30mpg. I also had a mg/rover! Good old k series engine... Useless! Head gasket fail every 30k miles! What a joke! I have a IS 200 sport, great car. Only real problems I've had are sticky brake callipers! For me I just wish there was just that little bit more there when I put my right foot down.
  15. I have to admit I love the service at Lexus dealers :)
  16. Hi these are very rare as not many had them fitted. I expect the best place to try is at the Lexus dealer. Can't see many of these coming up on eBay etc...
  17. Hi Alex and welcome to LOC. Do you mean your looking at getting an IS250? Or the 200 diesel? From 55 plate (2006) those are the second generation IS IS250, IS200d (diesel), IS220d (diesel) If you want a first generation IS200 they were made between 1999-2005
  18. Hi Garry welcome to LOC :) IS220d is second gen made from 2006. There's was no diesel offered on the first gen.
  19. All Lexus are imports as such as their not made in the UK so at some point it would have had to come off a boat! If you've ever driven down the M5 over the Avon bridge you'll see thousands of cars brand new just been delivered into the country in the docks. Maybe that's all the paperwork is relating to?
  20. Ha agreed :) My mate couldn't sell his 300 either that's why he's keeping it. He valued his at £3500 but didn't get one response when he advertised it. as he says nobody wants a thirsty Lexus. Everybody seems to want rubbish hybrids with no guts that cost £0 in tax. A sad state of affairs in my opinion. Or they go the other way and buy massive 4x4's that they don't need but are happy to put up with rubbish mpg and high tax because they feel superior in their high cabin I hope you get what you want for it as it looks great and I'm sure it's well maintained.
  21. Your 300 looks mint. With the Aeros on it I would happily part with £3k. I know you sold them separate, it's what I would have done as well. The way I see it is it's worth £3k+ but as nobody really wants them cos of hight tax bracket and poor MPG that's why nobody wants to pay more than £2500. You've also hit the 100k mileage mark which wouldn't put me off a well maintained Lexus but it will put average joe off.
