  1. Any sign of dampness, moisture in the fuse boxes? Have you had a windscreen replaced?
  2. No I'm not from Ireland, I'm welsh living on the Wiltshire/Somerset border. Thanks for the kind words about my car :) I've spent a lot of time and money (more than what I paid for the car originally) in getting it back to how it should be. So no messing about in mine I keep her under 3000rpm for 95% of the time too! All thats left to Do now is re furb the alloys in the summer and a few body work imperfections to sort out. I'm also going to spray my callipers black and put Lexus de cals on them and changing the dash bulbs, center console bulbs and heated seat switch bulbs to blue as I don't like the orange. This apparently isn't as easy as it sounds, need to solder the bulbs in the centre console. Don't get me wrong, i don't drive like an old man all of the time. I have the odd fun day out at a dis used airfield near Chippenham. Plenty of power sliding and donuts :) I can't say I like the idea of pink anywhere on the car but prob cos I'm a bloke! Carbon roof on a white IS sounds like a good idea. I've seen a blue IS with carbon bonnet. That looked the nuts and i also got a glimpse of a purple IS200 and that was absolutely stunning!
  3. Don't know how much you've looked into modifying the IS but unless you've got £1500+ to spend on forced induction your not gonna get any power gains. Up rating the Air filter, induction kit, exhaust won't gain you any more BHP. Plenty to do cosmetically tho. Lots of nice kits, wheels etc available :)
  4. Think you sold it to me, the V5 had just come through if I remember correctly? Awful car, I sorted the rust but never was the fanny magnet I imagined it would be. The one i had was sold to a guy from nottingham or should say swapped for an is200, which had cheque for new tax cancelled, which left me with a fine and having to pay for new tax on top. Haha not laughing at you Ian but if this is the guy that swapped with you, he owes you some money!!! Send the boys round
  5. Hi welcome to LOC. white is such a rare colour on these, very nice. :) Don't know about any meets over on Ireland, sorry. Out of curiousity, why are you sitting on a Honda in your profile pic?
  6. Oh yeah catch all the oil to save from getting an oily driveway
  7. Glad you got it changed okay mate and good to hear it has fixed the steering problem, did you notice just how black and rotten the old fluid was? I can't understand how Lexus could say it was good for the life of the car. Totally lance, thanks!
  8. Don't let them talk down to you or bully you into accepting what your not happy with. Stand firm and they will take notice of you
  9. Pick up on every little thing your not happy with. Your the customer remember that...
  10. All my symptoms would also go away when the car was warm.
  11. Hi Ray. Major coincidence but I was having the same trouble up until the weekend. This is common apparently. What I did was get the belt tightened as its prone to slipping. And even when slipping can be quiet and not squeel!
  12. Not 1 to slag people off but Lexus Cardiff are the worst Lexus dealer I've ever dealt with. They take your number with a promise to call back but they never do. They fall far short of the famous Lexus customer service. I use Lexus Bristol who are superb, always call you back within 10 mins and are so helpful! Anyway glad you like your car. Enjoy it :)
  13. I kept topping mine up for a couple of weeks thinking I had a leak, then it just didn't drop off the max mark and still hasn't, that was 3 months ago. Yours is doing the same hopefully, Just bleeding itself through with a bit of luck :)
  14. Just went to my car to find this.. Fence blew down overnight and cracked it. Anybody got a spare bit of trim? Thanks, Chris
  15. Honestly that's what it is. £55 for 3 belts fitted at Lexus Bristol http://static.autoclubhub.com/ipb/forums/3.3.4/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/smile.png I also got a quote from Lexus Swindon and they were £68 for the 3 and and my local garage wanted £75! So dealers cheaper than independents! The actual belts are about a tenner each part only. I still had lumpy steering after changing the belt.
  16. The new Lexus front grill is totally marmite... Love it or hate it! I didn't like it when I first saw but it's grown on me and I love it now
  17. Haha top candidate for worst choice of car for a mini cab ever!! Well that should upset Pete. Have you never heard of LPG ??????????????????? Mike No idea who Pete is. In fact I have no idea how we've ended up talking about an LPG IS200 mini cab?
  18. Hi welcome to LOC. Nice looking IS. I also suffer with lack of headroom and your taller than me!
  19. Hi and welcome :) Good luck with the sensors.
  20. It was a great episode. I loved that Aston Martin in blue :)
  21. PARDON! are you for any moment suggesting only old farts own a Lexus :megaangry: AND if that's the case are you old, a fart or both I'm sure he's not calling himself an old fart but the general consensus, rightly or wrongly, is that Lexus drivers are old farts! Lol... I took a lot of stick when I told my mates I was buying a Lexus.
