  1. Just found a tin of brasso at work that I don't think has been used for 20 years!! Lol I'll give that a try :)
  2. Haha I wouldn't have used sand paper! Lol I was thinking more of the green side of a washing up sponge. I had a go yesterday with toothpaste and to be honest can't really tell any difference. I'm going to have another go in about an hour.
  3. This has been put up on the Facebook IS200 group now Ian. Hopefully get some more come along from there. :)
  4. Sorrry I didn't know what car you had cos on the mobile version it doesn't show next to your name. Anyway.... If the noise is a 'crack' like a winsdscreen cracking then it's a re call issue I believe and they sort something out behind your dash. Call a Lexus dealer and see if all re call work has been carried out on your car. I
  5. Hi and welcome. :) What Lexus do you have?
  6. I think you might be right Ray, interesting article. Can't believe somebody actually built it! The MG did it in Utah on the salt flats using a 800+BHP supercharged V8 heavily modified engine. That's all it says. Reached 225mph :zee:
  7. According to good old Wikipedia the MG ZT-T estate was the fastest estate non- production car in the world in 2003! Lol... The head gasket issue was the main reason I chose the Lex Noby. Japanese reliability persuaded me in the end.
  8. Nice choices Ray. I nearly bought a MG ZT-T which was sort of the sport version of the 75 instead of my IS. It had a 2.5 litre V6. They were the same price but the Lex had lower mileage and I'd always wanted a lexus. Lol...
  9. I wonder how many of us would pass if we took a test today? A lot of us won't admit it but we pick up a lot of bad habits over the years... I mean who engages neutral and pulls the handbrake up at a red light every time? I sit in gear with my foot on the brake most of the time. That's just 1 example....
  10. Some websites only mention IS300 because the 200 wasn't available in the USA. I'm not 100% sure but I think the suspension on the 300 is different to a 200 but i cant see why they wouldnt fit. Somebody will be able to tell you for sure.
  11. No but I'm gonna start now. Sounds like a great laugh!
  12. So 2-3 days to get your wheels back? Can they do it same day or is it always a couple of days wait?
  13. Im honna give this a go this afternoon. Bit of Colgate!! Lol... Don't have a rotary polisher, should I use something abrasive then instead of a sponge?
  14. ^^ when did you become a moderator Ian? Nice 1... Better watch out now :)
  15. Oh yeah because on older IS the heated wing mirror is permently on and the newer 1st gens had a switch to control it. Never thought of that.
  16. I'm sure Kia's are fantastic cars if u say so and as I've never owned one, driven one or ever wanted to drive one I can't have an opinion. sorry for making a joke about them. I just assumed, as people do (my mates anyway) that their cheap Korean tat and my next door neighbour has a 09 plate Kia and says as much. Anyway what other cars are on your list Stuart? You've still only chosen 3. :)
  17. Again only trying to have a bit of a joke as everybody seems to keep missing.. Sorry for taking the thread off topic, now if anybody else would like to list the 5 cars they would own if they could...... :)
  18. Interesting statement since horse steak is tastier than beef steak... That's a matter of opinion and your missing the point! If something says beef, then beef it should be. If Kia's are meant to be good then why does everybody I know who owns one just complain about it the whole time? Anyway completely off topic... Serves my right for trying to have a laugh.....
