I hear what your saying Matt, The reason I can't swap front for backs is that one of my back wheels is ever so slightly buckled and I can feel it through the steering wheel when it's on the front. Also the spare is completely buckled! I'm getting all 5 wheels Refurbed and un-buckled in the summer so that will sort it then and i'll be able to swap them round as much as i like. I was just surprised that the backs wore so differently to the front. As for WIM, I'm there on Saturday, I was only there 9 months ago when I bought the tyres but my mate is taking his IS300 so I thought I'd tag along and get mine done to see how much it's out by after only 9 months.

Yeah mate but by so much that I'm gonna replace the backs before the fronts? I don't like doing that... :(

Hi guys. I've had my tyres on for about 9 months now. All 4 replaced at the same time. I checked the treads this morning and the front have 5mm of tread but the back only have 3mm. Is this normal? I know the IS eats tyres so I'm not concerned over losing so much tread in 9 months it's just that I thought that with the engine over the front, the fronts would wear down quicker. I know the back wheels drive the car but I didn't think the difference in tread would be 2mm!

Mine will be the same as Ian's with 9's in about 6 months :)

I also had an injector go giving up a mis fire code... ^good advice :)

You can check re call work by calling any Lexus dealer and they will tell you :) As for the problems, you've just listed them all lol...

Hi and welcome :) Sounds like your callipers are sticking. Very common, IS200 is famous for it. I've had two sieze on mine within 6 months. Check your alloys after driving, they should be warm but not hot. The hot wheel has a siezed calliper. Can you smell friction burning when you get out of the car? And does it pull to one side when braking? These are the symptoms I had as well as the steering wheel judder.

I was wondering that last night. I've got a 70 litre tank and have been filling up when the fuel low light has been on for about a day and I'm finding that I still have around 5 litres left. I'm only putting in 65 litres of fuel each time. It wouldn't surprise me if the SportCross has a slightly larger tank. No then cos we've all got 70 litre tanks as well lol

Does the Sportscross have a larger fuel tank? Because I have no idea how Stuart manages 400 miles to a tank! Lol :)

Sounds normal to me lol! I don't have a heavy right foot but I can't do better than 19-20 mpg. Even when I drive like a grandad I can't get much better than 25mpg. I usually get 300-350 miles per tank

I'm still waiting for mine too. Only did mine about 10 days ago tho... I don't think you should have to wait 7 weeks! Lol

I've just got a quick question. Does anybody else, when using the mobile version, have the site freeze up a lot? Whenever I come on the forum on my phone, when I first log in it freezes for about 3-4mins then I get directed to a page that says "502 bad gateway" I then refresh and all is fine. It's just a bit annoying that's all. This happens approx 80% of the time and I know it's not my phone as I've used my wife's iPhone before and it's done the same thing. Just curious really.

Never seen one of my old cars but my dad sold his Nissan Primera to a bloke in Reading about 10 years ago. I went to Reading a couple years later for a work conference and I went on the train. When I was leaving the conference I got the receptionist to call a taxi back to the train station. When it turned up, it was my dads old Nissan Primera!

Sorry to butt in on your thread but I have to agree with Ians200! I really didn't think much of LS400's and I was even cheeky enough to make a joke about them looking like box's before (sorry) But they are really growing on me! I saw a green one coming towards me today with gold badges and I thought "that's well smart" I would never have thought like that even 6 months ago.... Am I getting old? Lol...

Suppose you could put a Cosworth style whale tail on there. I think that would look absolutely........ Terriable!!

I'm doing the Lexus callipers when the weather is better. It's very easy and you can even paint them while they're still on the car. Also you can get some nice Lexus de-calls to put on the painted calliper. Looks great :)
