  1. How long ago? They stopped selling it in 5ltrs. Some dealers still might have some stock tho
  2. I paid £24 for my OEM air filter from Lexus Bristol.
  3. You need this mate... Lexus and Toyota only sell ATF T4 in bulk 25 litres http://www.opieoils.co.uk/vsearch.aspx?SearchTerm=Toyota%20ATF%20T4
  4. Check your brake bulbs including parcel shelf. Bet one has gone.
  5. Opie oils sell this. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/vsearch.aspx?SearchTerm=Toyota%20ATF%20t4 Says it good for when Toyota ATF T4 is called for.
  6. Well the bushes, lol, where to start. I bought the wrong ones like an idiot. I needed the front lower control arm rear bushes and I ordered the front lower control arm inner bushes. So £60 down the drain. I've ordered the correct part but not delivered yet so my car still handles like a bag of spanners. As for it affecting MPG. I don't think so. I've had the car over a year and the bushes have only just gone but I've always had 20mpg. It's down to my heavy right foot in second gear. I can't help but take to 5000rpm+ when coming off a roundabout or on a slip road a lot of the time. The rest of the time I take it nice and steady and keep the car around 3000rpm. I have achieved around 30mpg from my car but it took me to drive like a grandad. Change up at 2500rpm. So to achieve your MPG takes deliberate concentration and change in driving style. I think I drive my car like most people. And doing that I achieve about 20-23 mpg. If you think my MPG is bad you should see my mates in his IS300. He redlines it everywhere and drives up and down the motorway at 90mph+ and gets about 15mpg to a tank! Lol.... P.S. sorry for the thread hijack
  7. No the sport isn't tuned for a quicker throttle response. It's not a quicker car than any other IS200 in any way, therefore doesnt use more fuel. Under the bonnet all IS200's are exactly the same. Sport has a limited slip differential which is the only mechanical difference between IS200's on the range
  8. Haha that's a cracking idea Steve! Let's all turn up with BBQ's!
  9. No around 20mpg average for me. Stuart manages around 30 but he must drive everywhere like a grandad lol And nope nothing wrong with mine, in perfect working order :) do a search on MPG on here and you'll see. Most members get 20-25 MPG from their IS200 I would argue that the 2.0 engine in a IS200 is the thirstiest 2.0 engine ever made! Due to it being a 6 cylinder I guess. The MPG is the same in an IS300 but you get a lot more power!
  10. Best book a table then mate, I'd imagine they will be packed at lunch time, bank holiday weekends have always been my busiest as a chef.
  11. Oh yeah be warned the IS200 is probably the thirstiest car in its class. I get 20mpg average and I'm careful on the throttle. Stuart gets an obscene high MPG for an IS, not sure how he does it!
  12. No, no and no lol.,. Tax is the same, MPG is near enough the same makes no difference
  13. Looks great that, like mine but with a 3.0 2JZ..... Wish I'd got a 300 He could e given the engine bay a bit of a clean
  14. I was just gonna order a burger or something when I got there. Don't really care how long it takes em to cook it!
  15. That looks a really good example. I notice there's also an aftermarket stereo in there. That boot spoiler is also aftermarket as are the wheels. I like it apart from that boot spoiler... Looks a bit 'chavtastic'
  16. Yes any model in the range could have the styling kit added, you didn't have to buy a sport but most models kitted are sports. And yes the bumpers can be bought aftermarket so they could have been put on after
  17. You could argue all cars not built in the UK are imports....
  18. Yes Stuart technically all Lexus are imports. But you drive a Lexus that was built for the UK market. An Altezza was built for JDM. But your Lexus Stuart will be recognised as a UK car, the altezza will always be an "import"
  19. In all honesty I would be inclined to trust auto glass more than Lexus. Who knows what firm Lexus will sub the work out to. Could be a bunch of local cowboys for all you know. I really really can't understand your obsession with having Lexus stamped on your windscreen and using a main dealer. And if you went through Lexus and the screen was fitted poorly and it leaked for example, Lexus will hold their hands up and say we didn't carry out the work, your problem is with the firm we contracted it to. Just seems as tho you want to give Lexus £400! Go through your insurance, your premium won't be affected and you give your insurance company enough money per year so let them pay for it.
  20. Hi and welcome. Thats not a limited edition. Lexus sold the IS200 with a choice of styling packs, either TRD or TTE. All it is is completely cosmetic. Sportier bumpers and side skirts. Don't be fooled into paying more as its a "limited edition" as it is not. Mine has the TTE kit. The Altezza does have more power but you lose a lot of the Lexus luxuries. For example no electric heated seats, no power folding mirrors, no premium 8 speaker sound system etc... Also the Toyota Altezza was never sold in this country so if you got one it would be an import.
  21. Only you can answer that question. You will pay extra at Lexus for a service compared to an independent and at the age your car is now, a full Lexus service history won't add much if any value to the car. I still used Lexus Bristol. They were more expensive but my car came back fully valeted inside and out, they changed a few bulbs that needed replacing free of charge and balanced all 4 wheels free of charge. Plus the customer service is excellent.
  22. As has been said by a few and Matt-c who is a glass fitter, dealers don't fit glass. So there is no advantage by going to a main dealer as it will just be done by whichever firm they use.
  23. Why are you going to Lexus for a windscreen? They will only get auto glass or somebody like that to do the job. Do you not have glass cover on your insurance? Most people do if your fully comprehensive. Windscreens should cost u nothing. I've had 3 replaced in my old cars over the years and never paid a penny.
  24. I know Yatton well. Used to see a girl out that way a few years ago lol! Are you on Facebook? There's an IS200 group with a few members from here and other Japanese owners clubs. It's sort of a mini owners club and there's a meet down Cheddar second week of next month. I'm thinking of going if I'm not working. I used Lexus Bristol, they were £90 more than that Toyota specialist in Warmly IIRC for the 100k service but I'll be honest I enjoyed the customer service, the free coffee and pastries and they put skysports news on the TV :) Lexus also changed any bulb in my car that needed changing, exterior and interior without being charged, car came back fully valeted inside and out and they balanced all 4 wheels for no extra charge. My car also came with an ancient mobile phone system. Had its own wires and fuses straight to the battery, and like you say got in the way of the passenger seat. The cradle was bolted on as well. I ripped it all out as soon as I could.
  25. Hi and welcome :) Where in Somerset are you? I'm just outside Bath.
