  1. Hoodrich, unfortunatly Ridgers sold his 300 a few months ago for a silly low price I might add and hasn't been active since. He was a good member!! Come back Ridgers!!!!
  2. Yes I do mate and I'm trying so hard not to type what you guys call them over there!!
  3. Oh and they'll 100% be Denso coming from a main dealer And just steer clear of "cheap" irridiums on eBay... Your lex will not like them!!
  4. I got mine from eBay... Denso OEM £60 for 6 so buying them from Lexus isn't going to cost you anymore :)
  5. The MOT is our roadworthy test. It is illegal to drive a car on a public road without a valid MOT certificate. All cars over 3 years old are subject to this test once every 12 months. You can sell a car quite freely without an MOT and anybody can check any cars MOT status by quickly putting the registration number into the VOSA (people who govern MOT's) database online. You also cannot tax a car without a valid MOT certificate. Also your MOT information is held in the polices database so if you drive past a cop car with an ANPR camera fitted they will know instantly you have no MOT and will fine you/sieze you car and crush it! There's really no getting around not having an MOT in the UK. Oh and I remember your "taxi's" from when I was in SA. 40 people in a 18 seater and running on slick tyres
  6. Denso irridium SK16R-P11 or NGK irridium is what you need. The Denso ones are OEM and are what Lexus would have put in your 300 at the factory. Main thing tho is you MUST use irridium plugs. :)
  7. As tiger fish said, normally the high level brake light causes this. (the one on the parcel shelf) :)
  8. The reason people and wheel refurb companies run a mile when you mention Lexus is because Lexus alloys are notorious for corroding so require more work. I'm getting my wheels done at £65 per wheel which I think is a decent price for getting your alloys back to brand new :)
  9. It needs the mileage to be below 111k I think and full have a full service history to be covered by the head gasket warranty. Yes it is the main thing to consider in my opinion when getting a 220d. It might have already had the rebuild if it's at 100k mark as well, need to check the history of the car very carefully. Have a look around the forum, there are many threads relating to 220d and head gasket issues. Saying all that however it is a lovely car to drive if all is well :)
  10. Hi Gary and welcome to LOC Make sure it has full Lexus service history but for £6k I'd expect it has and it's prob a later/newer model? Head gasket can go on these but with a FLSH and mileage below 111k I think, Lexus will build you a new engine free of charge should the worst happen :)
  11. Hi and welcome back :) It took nearly a week for them to update my profile to gold. You have to be patient :)
  12. You should run a LOC day out at your mine cos I'd be interested too! Lol... I'm from South Wales so went down a couple of coal mines as a kid on school trips and also went down a diamond mine in South Africa.
  13. Apologies for commenting on your LS400 forum, nice to know we're all welcome. Won't make the same mistake again. I wasn't trying to offend you or belittle your comment. Was just having a laugh over the Rolls Royce comment, was meant to be light hearted, sorry. I'll take myself and my "wee" IS back to the IS forum and leave you to your obviously more superior Japanese Rollers that require £80 coolant. I was just relaying information I'd been given from a Lexus dealer that's all and trying to save the OP a few quid.
