  1. Use your phone mate. I've done it in the past. I have an iPhone and as long as you use a in car charger (video drains the battery) and a lot of storage space and get a cradle that doesn't cover the camera then it works fine :) Not sure I'd go and buy a camera just for that purpose.
  2. As already said on facebook..... HUGE CONGRATS!!! :)
  3. I have absolutley no problem with threads/posts being removed. What does cause me concern is if they are removed without notifying the poster. Also if you want to avoid being sued be careful revealing that this forum is moderated If you do admit moderation it needs to be 24/7 throughout the year So are you saying its illegal to moderate a public forum? I don't understand and I'm confused. The mods do a good job deleting SPAM and other material that doesn't belong on a Lexus owners forum. Chris the point Mike was making is if you are the moderator then you could be assuming responsibility for any libellous content or any other legal challenges. It is probably not that much of a problem in the UK but......what do I know. Steve and the other staff do a great job and we all appreciate their efforts. Bren Agreed the mods do a great job. Thanks for clearing that up :)

  5. That's a pretty shocking list of cars you've owned Stuart!
  6. The reason the supercharger isn't made anymore is because it was made by TTE (Toyota Team Europe) TTE doesn't really exist anymore although they are still at the same headquarters in Germany but are now branded under TMG (Toyota Motorsport GmbH) Basically they rebranded and stopped making everything we know as TTE including the supercharger for the IS200.
  7. Guys was the thread a for sale thread by a non gold member? If it was the thread will be deleted by the moderators.
  8. I'd say about 80% of people like them with 15% saying not sure and as yet only Matt-C on here totally dislikes them! Lol....
  9. Thanks for the comments. The Aeros do look bigger I agree Ray. I'm Completly undecided. Think I might keep the Aero's as well and swap and change as I feel like it or use them as winters.
  10. Thanks people. They are growing on me, it's just I loved the aeros.
  11. It says Lexus in kanji, sometimes I forget I'm not 18 anymore
  12. Well the wheels are finally on the car! I'm undecided to tell the truth. The Aeros are being refurbished right now so I'll make a decision which wheels to keep when the Aeros come back looking brand new. At first I didn't like them but I saw a reflection of the car in some shop windows while crawling through town this afternoon and it looked great, so they're starting to grow on me.
  13. Clean the throttle body mate. Not saying that's what it is but it can't hurt. Mine felt more responsive after cleaning.
  14. Should've said check it is binding callipers first lol, could be warped discs or something else. after a longish drive feel the alloys wheels with the back of your hand. The wheel with a sticking calliper will be very hot and hotter than the others. You could also jack the car up, the wheels should spin freely.
  15. Sounds like binding calliper. You can recondition them at a fraction of the cost of new ones. New callipers are £350 each fitted from Lexus or £200 part only. A lot cheaper if you go to an independent. About £170-200 fitted per calliper. Or get a reconditioned calliper from eBay. Always best to change/recondition callipers in pairs. I've had both front sieze on mine so had quite a bit of experience with this issue. I reconditioned 1 of them at first but it siezed again so I just said sod it and got 2 brand new ones on the front when the other siezed. No further problems :) Oh and the Lex is bulletproof engine wise. But like all cars it needs the brakes/suspension components replacing eventually.
  16. Non gold members selling again......
  17. Ok guys lets clear this up... Every MANUAL beeps in reverse. It's because 1st is right next to reverse so it is possible to select reverse when wanting first. Therefore the beep is to tell you your in reverse, simple as that. No AUTOMTIC beeps in reverse including the IS300 because you have a gauge on your dash telling you what gear you are in. :)
  18. I think the point Lexus were trying to make is that yes the flywheel makes it judder but it's not the sign of the flywheel failing. Mines juddered for the last 15k miles and has got no worse
  19. No... It's difficult to disconnect too so I've read. But why do it? The 1 time you put it into reverse by mistake and reverse into something you'll regret it.
  20. No fella no probs (touch wood) with the flywheel. It's my biggest fear really as I've been told they're about a grand just for the part.... Don't quote me on that but that's what I'm led to believe. Why do you ask?
  21. Biggest con/waste of money going! As said above the only way to gain more BHP from this engine is forced induction. The ECU cannot be re mapped either.
  22. Mine does it. So does a lot of others. Down to the dual mass flywheel I'm told. Do a search on 'clutch judder' Lots of threads on this subject.
  23. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/18069-front-bumper-removal/ 4th post down :)
