  1. Don't go too blue, the pigs will be forever pulling you over...
  2. Don't really know what your talking about. How about a pic?
  3. Don't want to rubbish a company I've never used but I've also heard less than complimentary things about prolex.
  4. That would annoy the hell out of me too mate. Well I have a few cracks in my front and rear TTE bumpers, not as bad as yours but I got a quote from a body shop and they wanted £300 per bumper to put them back to perfect. I could buy new TTE bumpers for that so I'm just gonna live with it.
  5. Oh right I didn't know that... When I bought mine it only had 3 months test on it but the seller told me he'd put a fresh MOT on it. But he called to say what I just told you and I believed him lol. Oh well it still past the test :) To be honest if I were you I'd MOT in in January. I'm sure Lexus Cardiff did ask you to have the MOT early, more money for them isn't it lol I'm good thanks mate, only working 3-4 days a week at the mo which is nice :) Have you finished the nursery yet? Lol..
  6. Gutted mate. Put a pic up so others can asses the damage.
  7. The ECU will still be mapped the same as when it left the Lexus factory therefore the slight hesitation your experiencing is not gonna be an ECU problem, something else is not right. Maybe start with a throttle body clean and DPF clean (not using a bottle of cleaner, actually removing and cleaning it)
  8. Bit of a random question? So are you in the market for a second hand Lexus? What's your budget?
  9. Front bumper is a C-West bumper isn't it Martin? You should see the back of Martins car, quad exhaust! Looks brilliant! Although I'm not allowed to do that mod as I've copied his car too much already apparently!
  10. To the left of the rad cap is another cap (black plastic) marked coolant. This is where the header tank is. It's also a lot easier to top up coolant using that cap :)
  11. You can only put your car in for an MOT 6 weeks before it expires Stuart. There will be a date on your current MOT certificate saying something like:- The earliest you can present your vehicle for inspection is (date)
  12. Yeah we do bill, look at the back of your radiator. How have you been checking the coolant level if not on the gauge in the header tank?
  13. Yeah it would be simpler to change the whole kit.
  14. The offset is ET50 on an IS. I've got 8.5x18" ET 45 on mine. With 225/45 tyres. Just stay as close to ET50 as poss was the advice I was given. 114.3x5 is a very common stud pattern. You shouldn't have any problems finding a nice set of wheels :)
  15. Mine wasn't up until 17th of July but I thought I'd put it in early in case anything needed doing. I had the lower front ball joints replaced on Friday as there was quite a bit of play in both. Car handles and feels so much better now too :)
  16. Just got back from the testing station. Car past MOT for the second year running since I've owned it. I've never had a car go through MOT's as well as this one. 1 advisory, little play in the rear suspension bushes. I'll sort that over the next couple of months. All in all, very very happy :)
  17. Loose connection or ballast on the way out.
  18. I don't think the 2 pics are solid proof that supermarket fuels are poorer quality than brand names. As Normski says what cars were these taking from? One could have been taken from a 1980's Van and the other from a brand new BMW for all we know. Were the tanks full, empty? Is the brown sample from the bottom of a tank? I like the wine comparison Normski, as a chef I can relate to that :)
  19. If it has a part number, chances are its available from the dealer :)
  20. Totally understand what your saying about the Aero wheels Matt. Both Lexus Bristol and Tony at WIM say they are very soft. Tony said most IS's he sees with aeros on nowadays have 1 or more dented/buckled wheels. And can you guess where the aero wheels were made? Right here in the UK!! Guess that's also the reason they don't suffer as bad with corrosion as other Lexus alloys.
  21. I agree with Matt. How old is your car and those tyres. Don't want to be running round on 10 year old tyres! Good news about the MOT :) I have mine Monday morning.
  22. Quite a lot actually. Lots of jap cars use 5x114 wheels A lot of Mazda wheels fit (rx7,rx8, 6, 5, mx5) Mitsubishi Lancer, FTO. Nissan 200sx, almera, Primera Subaru impreza 05-08 I looked into this when replacing my wheels that how I know. I'm sure there is more :)
