    Hi and welcome to LOC :) You know an IS200 will feel very very slow compared to an R32 right? Have you driven one? Just warning so that you're not very disappointed lol. Most used modified parts will be scarce for this car, it's not really a car that is easily modified.

    Ok the standard IS exhaust system has 3 cats. 2 on the manifold (pre cats) and 1 main cat. Removing the 2 pre cats might be ok. Some have found it goes through the MOT and doesn't trigger any warning lights. However some have not been so fortunate. Removing the main cat you will fail the emissions on the MOT and will more than likely trigger the EML to come on giving a cat fault code. This can be overcome by using an O2 simulator but you will still always fail the MOT as I understand it.

    Yeah this is how Lexus determined weather I had a master key over the phone as when I bought the car I only had the 1 key

    OP said it does open the boot but the alarm goes off that's why I said to try the ignition light. That's the 100% certain way of knowing if it's a master key.

    To find out if that key is a master key for certain, put it in the ignition. If it is a master key then the security light on the dash will go out the instant the key is inserted into the ignition barrel. If its a valet key the security light will remain on for 2-3 seconds

    I've seen this advertised on another club where the members are very knowledgable about boosting IS's. Basically this charger makes a lot of noise and sounds great but gives 0 boost! It's not a TTE charger, it's a badly homemade Eaton charger kit apparently.

    Hi and welcome to LOC, nice car :) Never heard of an exhaust blowing on one of these before, are you sure it's all connected up right and not come unattached from the centre section maybe? Mines 13 years old and still running the original exhaust with no signs of it failing.

    Post a pic of your current key. If its not a master then the short answer is no you can't get a master. You need a working master key to programme a new master key. Normally the 2 button keys are not masters but 'valet' keys. Some master keys are 2 buttons tho. Master key cases are normally black also and valet keys a grey colour.

    Very nice. Mine also has the TTE kit and it did have the aero alloys on it. I've still got all 5 sitting in my spare bedroom. Can't bring myself to sell them, I like having two sets of 18" wheels. When the wife asks why I need two sets of wheels my response is why do you need 30 pairs of high heels? soon shuts her up!

    I really wanted a navi until I test drove one with a nav and realised its not as good as my Tom Tom and to be honest is pretty dated and rubbish. Not trying to offend anybody that likes the factory nav but to me it's just not an important feature of the car anymore as its getting older all the time and you can't update it!

    And no the trc and snow buttons don't light up but they have a light on the dash saying snow and trc off. Your the 2nd person now that I know of that went back to the 1st gen after having a 2nd gen. 1st gen Just better to drive aren't they

    I can't remember if it was on here or on the Facebook group but somebody had an IS200 with none of the sport extras but it had an LSD same as yours. We found out it was an Irish IS200 and was called an IS200 chenelle. On the UK V5 it just said Lexus IS200.

    Thanks a lot :) I bought the plate straight from DVLA so the price included Transfer fee of £80. I'm also lucky as my sister works at DVLA and has done so for many years handling private registrations so I've got excellent first hand advice and she's already said she'll deal with it for me. She sorted the private regs for my dads 2 cars as well lol. Just waiting for the V750 certificate of entitlement now :)
