  1. Is it not always on unless you turn it off?
  2. May poke out a little bit I think they should be ok. I have 18x8.5 et45 all round in mine. The best bit of advice I got was to keep the ET to as close as ET50 as poss. I actually know somebody running 18x8.5 et20 with no arch mods on a IS200 but they do stick out a stupid amount and the tyres rub if anybody sits in the back
  3. Red cars fade that's why. Unless its looked after and washed, polished and waxed regularly then red cars can end up looking awful!
  4. Yeah what Matt says.... Bin it. I got one in morrisons in Bath about 3 years ago. I left my car in there overnight as I'd been to the pub opposite and had one too many. Did some research online and found out they have no legal power and all that was issued to me was an invoice as stated above. I binned the ticket and 3 years later I've heard nothing! :)
  5. It has to be gold for me, Persian quartz or something it's called. The colour of Panya's old IS300 for those that know that car. I've always liked blue, silver and burnt orange(Aztec fire)
  6. I would only use denso or ngk. I wouldn't touch Bosch. If you buy cheap, you buy twice cos this car is very fussy over plugs! Denso SK20's are what's in mine.
  7. Hi and welcome :) You won't get 350bhp from an IS200 unless you've got a spare £10k sitting around lol. Only way to get any power gain is forced induction. Charger will set u back £2k, turbo £5k upwards. Your looking at about 220bhp (charged) bit more turbo'd. To hit 350bhp you'll need to update all engine internals to handle the extra boost plus a massive turbo lol....cheaper to engine swap or buy an IS300 and boost that.
  8. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/83416-charlesworth-motors-uk/#entry830579 Read this, might be the same easy, cheap fix. Certainly sounds like the same problem. Good luck :)
  9. Hi and welcome. :) Great work there, makes you wonder why Lexus just didn't do this in the first place?
  10. Bemani yeah that's it and they are in Switzerland not Sweden or Denmark
  11. This is why, as I said to you on another thread, I don't think yours was built for the UK market. I think yours was for the Irish market where the models had different criteria. I find it very strange that you have none of the sport extras (so an SE by UK standards) but your code says you have an LSD. If the code is stamped with a B then it 100% for sure left the factory fitted with an LSD.
  12. Hi and welcome to LOC Hope you enjoy Lexus ownership :)
  13. Can't argue with that^ I'm sure I'll be the same in a few years :)
  14. There is still a company based in Sweden or Denmark cant remember exactly, who make the charger and parts. They were the ones who used to make the parts for TTE. I can't remember their name right now but I have them saved on my laptop, I'm on my phone at the mo. Thing is they will sell you all the parts you need for the charger setup but as they don't sell it as a kit the price comes to 9000 Euro!! Crazy or what! They also don't speak English so all the correspondence I had with them I had to use google translate lol. Anyway if you are lucky enough to find a full TTE kit they go for £2000. If you are serious PM me as I know of a charger coming up for sale within the next few weeks. I have first refusal on it but I can't afford it right now. Also he won't sell to just anybody. He's a mate of mine and was an active member on LOC until a couple of years ago. This charger has to go to a good home where it will be maintained and looked after properly :)
  15. It's the actual act of putting my left foot down and engaging gear that I enjoy Steve :)
  16. Yeah I think IS300 or GS300 for me next. I love Tigerfishes GS with the TTE kit.
  17. Haha good point Ian.... Pretty sure my next car will be a Lexus, and the next, and the next... :)
  18. There were loads of plates ending in LEX at one time available from the DVLA but they all seem to have disappeared. Guess those private plate companies snapped them all up when they realised Lexus owners were buying them. Also Pete, the reason I wanted my name is because what if my next car isn't a Lexus? You know you can keep the plate for life right and transfer it onto your future vehicles? If you buy LEX you're kinda limiting yourself :)
  19. Great news :) Always good to hear a problem is fixed quickly and cheaply. Am I the only one who enjoys clutching and shifting gears? I'm 33 and at the moment I don't ever want an automatic! Lol...
