  1. Hi and welcome to LOC Nice car :) :zee:
  2. I'm not happy about this. I'm mad on football do I obviously have the full sky sports package and ESPN. Now I'm told a lot of premiership football will be on BT Sport. That's another £15 per month for me as a sky customer and I don't want BT broadband. I had it a few years ago and received the worst connection and the worst customer service ever. My sky broadband is brilliant so I don't want to change!
  3. I'm gonna be blunt.... That's an accident waiting to happen! Your risking your own life, the life of your passengers (do you have kids?) and the life's of other road users. As you said you've done many motorway miles. It's just pure luck that that tyre hasn't gone bang yet. If it goes bang and your doing 70mph and you maybe have children in the back just imagine what could happen. How would you feel if you survived but you careered into a car with a young family inside and killed the kids or left children without parents? Could you live with yourself? I know I couldn't. Taking a car on the public road in full knowledge that the tyre is defective is both severly irresponsible and negligent! I suggest you change that tyre today and if you don't then don't use your car!!
  4. Just seen an Orange IS250 in Bath. Never seen one before. I was just wondering if this was an official Lexus colour or if it had been re sprayed? I thought re spray when I first saw it coming towards me and I was expecting it to be modified but apart from the colour it was a completely standard IS250.
  5. Yeah press the traction off button again!! That's how it works on an IS
  6. A superchip straight from the factory? That doesn't sound right.....
  7. Sorry I didn't reply to your PM mate, but I want your other set. Can I buy then at the meet on the 24th? Cheers :)
  8. I don't know to be honest but if that was my car, with the coolant warning light coming on, the first thing I would do is to flush the system and fill it with the proper pink coolant and see if that fixes it. Cheapest solutions first :)
  9. And do you have coolant in there or actually just water?
  10. IS200 doesn't have a low screen wash light. Well mine doesn't or my mates doesn't anyway! How are you checking the level of your coolant? By the radiator cap or the expansion tank?
  11. I like Ian :) Can you give us a link to where you got them? I'd like a set in black and silver.
  12. Not sure on 17's mate. Mines on 18's. Standard lower sport suspension and I have 8.5x18 with 225/40/18 tyres in all round. If I went any lower I think I'd have to roll the arches
  13. Yeah they all have trc. When turned off it should say trc off on the dash. The button is next to the heated seat buttons. If not check the bulb hasn't been pulled as if there's a fault the trc off light flashes.
  14. Not with only 17"s on there you shouldn't get any rubbing. Is the car lowered?
  15. They'll fit no problem as long as Ian says they're 114.3x5 which I'm assuming they will be if they're TRD :)
  16. About £22-23k. My IS200 Sport with everything except sat nav, plus it has optional extra TTE bumpers front and rear and 18" Aero wheels and was bought from Lexus Bristol in March 2001 for £22,500. I have the original receipt with all the car paper work :)
  17. Hello Kevin, welcome to LOC Any pics of your Lex? We like pics :)
  18. Hi. The spare key you have is known as a 'valet' key as it only does what you say. I don't know if it has the circuitry inside to operate the remote locking but I don't think so. My understanding of it is you cannot programme another master key to the car without a working master key which you have lost. I don't really know what to suggest sorry apart from at least get a spare made of the valet key if that's possible. Not sure a valet key can even programme another valet key but I may well be wrong. Losing all keys to this car is a nightmare, you can't simply get a new key. As for WIM, that's an excellent suggestion :) They will cure your inside tyre wear problem. I suggest having a full alignment and geometry done on your car. It costs about £115 but is worth every penny. Your car will drive like new afterwards and the savings on tyres alone makes it worth it.
  19. No worries. And if you're looking at this on the full site and not on mobile you can see how my car sits in my sig. :) People do ask how much I lowered it by and are surprised when I tell them it's standard! Lol
  20. Well like I said matey I've got 8.5" ET45 on mine all round with 225/40/18 tyres with no clearance probs so I guess not :) My aftermarket wheels do stick out ever so slightly more than my standard Lexus wheels but not really noticeable
  21. Yeah I'd get ET44. I also wouldn't mess with the tyre profile. If you fit 45's then the tyre will be thicker by about 5cm. Doesn't sound a lot but on 18" wheels that'll lead to the tyres rubbing the arches I reckon. I have 225/40/18 on mine on standard sport suspension and the tyre only just clears the arch. If you put coileys on with 45 profile tyres I bet you'd need to do some arch modifications, prob will do anyway with 40 profile if you're gonna slam it!
