  1. Hi and welcome to LOC. :) I know nothing about LS's so I won't pretend I do The £21 a month service plan can be bought at any Lexus dealer for any Lexus car regardless of where you bought it. Read the small print carefully tho, it doesn't include some service items such as spark plugs and I'm sure they'll sting you on other items too.
  2. Yeah refurb will be cheaper and they'll look brand new :)
  3. I can't help you but what do you call silly money? Obviously the breaker in question knows how rare these are so is pricing accordingly. Call the dealer, see how much they want. Then maybe the breakers offer might not seem so bad. There a very very few sport crosses on the road, even fewer that had sat nav so the number of second hand sat nav boxes for sale for a sportcross is going to be very very low if existent at all....As rare as hens teeth one might say
  4. I always but from opie as well to be fair but I can't imagine there's much wrong with the halfords stuff. Saying that I probably wouldn't buy it either
  5. Ok guys point taken. Business is business..... Maybe that's why I'm not rich yet, not cut throat enough
  6. Here... This guy got the lot for about £1200 http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/86084-duel-mass-flywheel-gone/?fromsearch= This guy got a flywheel for £800 from Lexus but that's not fitted. Maybe £1400 is the price fitted then. They also talk of using avensis parts http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/80082-lexus-is220d-dual-mass-flywheel-replacement/?fromsearch=1 This guy thought the same as me and it would cost up to 3k http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/74290-clutch-and-dm-flywheel-of-220d/?fromsearch=1 So I guess I was wrong up at 3k but it's still gonna be expensive. Still going to be four figures. There's a lot of info on this, do a search :)
  7. No way.... I got the same key ring and tax disc holder for my birthday! Left the tax disc holder in my 200 when I sold it :(
  8. If you are to change the flywheel you would be crazy not to change the clutch at the same time while everything is off the car. If your flywheel is on the way out I bet the clutch is pretty worn also. Be warned it's going to be expensive. Silly money at Lexus but expensive at an independent or normal garage also. Not 100% sure what it'll cost on a 220 but parts and labour will be a 4 figure sum. If I had to guess I'd say about £2.5-3k. I know a genuine flywheel, part only is £1400 and even cheaper brands on eBay etc are £700-800. Clutch around the £300 mark plus the labour :(
  9. Nothing wrong with that, but you talk of doing the house up therefore you have every right to ask for more as you've put more money into it. This guy has done nothing to the car. But as you say business is business, horrible cut throat world we live in these days.
  10. The teacher says, "Today we are going to learn multisyllabic words, class. Does anyone have an example of a multisyllabic word?" Little Johnny waves his hand, "Me, teacher! Oh, me, me!" The teacher smiles and says, "Alright, Johnny, what is your multisyllabic word?" Little Johnny says, "Mas-tur-bate." The teacher is taken aback, but she manages to smile and says, "Wow, Johnny, that's a mouthful." Little Johnny says, "No, miss, you're thinking of a blow job. I'm talking about jerking off." Merry Christmas everybody :hohoho: :hohoho: :hohoho:
  11. A guy walks into a bar and sees a sign that reads: Cheese Sandwich: £1.50 Chicken Sandwich: £2.50 Hand Job: £10.00 He checks his wallet and beckons to the sexy bartender. "Are you the one who gives the hand jobs?" he asks. "Yes," she purrs. "I am." "Well, wash your frickin' hands," says the man. "I want a cheese sandwich!"
  12. A beautiful blonde woman boards a plane to L.A. with a ticket for coach. Once she boards, she chooses an empty seat in first class. The flight attendant checks her ticket and tells the woman she has to move back. The blonde replies, "I'm young, blonde and beautiful, and I'm going to sit here all the way to L.A." Flustered, the flight attendant goes to the cockpit and informs the captain. The captain goes back and briefly whispers something into the blonde's ear. She immediately gets up, hugs the captain and rushes back to her seat in the coach section. The flight attendant asks what he said to the woman. "I just told her that the first class section isn't going to L.A."
  13. A teacher asks her class of 10 year olds.... "Who can use a sentence with the word definitely in it?" Mary raises her hand and says "The sky is definitely blue" Very good said the teacher but the sky can also be grey and black at night. Tom then raises his hand and says "Grass is definitely green" Very good days the teacher but grass can be brown also. Then little tommy raises his hand and asks "Can farts be lumpy?" No replied the teacher, why do you ask? "Well I've definitely sh*t my pants then"
  14. I'm sure that lady that sold it wouldn't be too happy. Guess I'm old fashioned, I try to be honest, upfront and just generally try to be a good person. Anyway merry Christmas :hohoho:
  15. Curious? Why not? Do you know something we don't? As long as it meets the industry standards what's the problem?
  16. Agreed and with no advisories and it should have plenty of tax. Pretty low of him to buy a car, do nothing to it and then sell it at such a big mark up
  17. No you give the valet the valet key. Which starts the car and locks/unlocks the doors but you can't open the boot or glovebox with the valet key. I'm guessing you don't have a valet key for yours? I didn't have one on my IS200 (must've got lost by a previous owner) but I got one with my IS300. It has just lock/unlock buttons on it and is grey not black.
  18. To say they have absolutely no record of the car is ridiculous IMO unless it's an import
  19. Yes but why wouldn't they just say it's not been serviced at a main dealers and we have no record of it after a certain service or after we sold it etc....
  20. And they must keep records. What about re calls etc.... How would they know the car has had any recall issues done? There must be a central database!!
