  1. Not yet planning on watching it later but my sister already text to say it was brilliant lol
  2. That'll be 225/55/zr17 225 width 55 profile Z speed rating R17 size of the wheel (17 inch radius) Z rated are for fast speeds ;)
  3. It's entertainment for the family... Not a serious car show. When you look at it like that it's fantastic. My 11 year old niece and sister love it and they hate cars. Says it all really :)
  4. Bulletproof... Won't go wrong. There's a reason the UN and the like use them in war torn countries :)
  5. Yes mate. I got condensation in my passenger side fog. Not gonna bother doing anything about it till the weather gets better
  6. I'm 100% sure mate that they are not wider. It's exactly the sane front end. The sportcross bumper will fit a saloon. Seen a few people do this
  7. Front bumpers are exactly the same Fitment. Rear bumpers are obviously different :)
  8. Plasti dip looks amazing... For a couple of months. Then it starts peeling and looking tacky so you have to do it again and again. That's my experience of plasti dip anyway
  9. I think that deserves it's own thread and pinned. So many people ask how to do this it's untrue! Nice work mate :)
  10. Some Toyota dealers won't touch lexus. Probably orders from above lol. Normally these are the Toyota dealers with a Lexus dealer close. For example there are 2 Toyota main dealers in Bristol but neither would touch my lex, both told me to go to Lexus Bristol
  11. Drilled and grooved look good but that's about it. You don't need uprated brakes on the 200, not powerful enough lol. The 200 discs, callipers and pads are also exactly the same as the IS300 (3.0ltr) GS300 (3.0ltr) and naturally aspirated Toyota Supra (3.0ltr) so the standard brakes give you more than enough stopping power as they're fitted to more powerful cars :)
  12. Without even hearing it I thought it would be the input shaft bearing as it's noisy with the clutch out. The bearing is cheap, £20-30. However getting to it and changing it is not straight forward. Transmission needs to be dropped so you're looking at a few hours labour cost and you need to trust it with a competent mechanic
  13. Thanks mate. Those wheels aren't on the car at the moment, just the standard 17's at the mo, and they're in dyer need of a refurb lol. If you're looking for a double din, then I suggest the same as mine. Kenwood DNX5220BT. They used to be over a £1000, but are about £5-600 now brand new. Expensive I know but you'll not want for anything. It has:- GARMIN Sat nav DVD player CD player TV iPod hook up (Bluetooth or cable) Hands free iPhone hook up (Bluetooth or cable) USB hook up http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-dnx-5220bt-6-1-inch-wide-double-din-size-navigation-system-with-bluetooth_p-23264.htm
  14. We will let you off with the BMW slip up.......But are you sure you want the highlighted comment on a family forum... Nearly fell off my chair!!
  15. The thing with adjusting the pedal is that you may adjust it so that the noise is gone which is great but has the noise gone because you've adjusted it so that the clutch is permently in a little bit therefore burning the clutch?
  16. All IS200's have DMF, or at least I've never heard of or seen an IS200 with a single mass flywheel. If the clutch was replaced but the flywheel not then maybe you'll get a flywheel grinding noise if the flywheel had been scored or pitted by the old worn out clutch. I'd be amazed if the clutch was replaced that the release bearing wasn't. Haven't seen a clutch kit for the 200 available without the bearing. Would be a real poor mechanic that would use the old bearing. And as I said earlier the release bearing will not make a noise when the clutch pedal is out. This is one of the biggest mis diagnoses on clutch noises. No idea what you're looking at to fix it mate as we don't know what it is yet. Clutch/gearbox probs are rarely easy and cheap to fix.
  17. I didn't say it didn't mate, just putting more possibilities out there :)
  18. It's a speciality car, maybe the only one left in existence. It's worth more than a grand surely. I'd get it professionally valued, don't know how you go about that but I'm sure the internet can help you :)
  19. Any chance of a video or sound clip if the noise? As the noise is present with the clutch pedal out you can safely say it's not the release bearing as that would be noisy when you press the clutch. It reads like either the input shaft bearing in the gearbox or it's the flywheel making the noise. The noise would stop for both of these on pressing in the clutch pedal
  20. Further out. But not noticeable. They cleared callipers etc if that's your concern
  21. As said genuine TTE bumpers are plastic, copies are fibreglass. It's a very good copy because my factory fitted TTE kit on my old 200 had a sport badge in the middle instead if a TTE badge but it had no Lexus stamp on the inside and it would just clip onto any other IS perfectly, we tried it on a mate of mine.
