Thanks just tryed it about 4-5 secs it popped open and all the water rushed in ARGH rain just love it CC Lol... Sorry should have said as Ray did you have to hold it down for a while. Mines def longer than a second, more like 3 :)

The boot emblem should pop open your boot when pressed. Don't know why yours doesn't work sorry :(

I don't understand it :( Is it for fuel economy and emission reasons? Only reason I can think.

Not really into modifying. I normally just look at wheels and suspension. Didn't have to touch my Lex tho as it came with arch filling 18" Aeros which suit the car so well and as its a sport is lowered already. I don't think it needs to be lower. :) I've also purchased blue bulbs for my dash as I don't like the orange but haven't fitted them yet. That's it really. If I had a spare £2k laying around I'd supercharge it.

Thanks Steve. The whole calliper has been replaced, pins, the lot. Yeah I spoke to the guys at the dealership today about it as they were really quiet! Basically the rubber seal/boot cracks over time so letting in water and eventually they rust till they seize. The chamber the pins sits in fills up with rust so the whole calliper rusts from the inside out. That's what Lexus told me anyway so don't shoot the messenger! Lol :)

I also see very few Lexus where I live. The most common Lex I see on the roads are RX's or second gen IS. There's a M reg LS400 in the next street to me. Looks in good nick, don't know if it belongs to a member but always needs a wash! I also see a gold LS400 on a private plate most mornings on my way to work, elderly lady. There's also a blue SC430 round here I see a lot. It was one of the reasons I bought a Lexus tho, the exclusivity! I can go days where I live without seeing another IS200 and people with limited car knowledge ask what it is :)

Hi and welcome to LOC : Your best bet is to try eBay and the like for bumpers and skirts. Lots of IS200's that had the factory fitted styling kits are being broken now. With a bit of luck you'll find one in your colour. Their always popping up :) As the the engine conversion... Can't help sorry :( not being funny but why didn't you look for a IS300 which has the 2jz engine as standard. You wouldn't need a conversion then and you could spend all the money you were going to spend on a conversion up rating the 2jz with turbos or superchargers etc.. Anyway enjoy your 200 and get those pics up :)

Happy Chris again! :) :) New calliper all fitted, no more siezed brakes and brake imbalance has gone. Pulls up beutifully in a straight line now. Bit of a novelty, id got used to steering left when I had to brake hard! And I got to have a go in a new GS250... Been a pretty good day :)

Just took my car into Lexus for a quick wheel balance and to pick up a new calliper. They had a 2012 GS250 F Sport with 11k on the clock up for £30k. Way above my price range but they must've seen me drooling over it and offered me a test drive and how could I refuse! They also offered me a go in the CT200h. I just laughed and said I had one for 48 hours on test drive and I hated it! Salesman laughed and said your not the first to say that! Lol The GS tho....What a great car, I want it!! It's just amazing to drive and is so much quicker than my IS! So many toys and buttons to press, i couldnt get my head round it! To be honest i dont even know what engine is under the bonnet, all I remember him saying is this is not a hybrid! One day it will be mine, oh yes, one day! :)

I learnt how to upload on my iPhone from another member lol Download the photo bucket app (free) Upload the photos to the app then copy the link to the pic that you want to post and then just paste. Copy the IMG link and the pic will show in your post not just a link to the pic on photo bucket :)
